This backs up what a lady said on the radio this morning, in her trust in 2020, 1 patient died while waiting for an ambulance to turn up, so far this year 231 patients have died while waiting for an ambulance. This Government has already caused many needless deaths through political dogma of "private companies are best". When will this Country wake up to the fact that the NHS is being deliberately destroyed so that we accept paying high premium insurance based health care. |  | | |

This backs up what a lady said on the radio this morning, in her trust in 2020, 1 patient died while waiting for an ambulance to turn up, so far this year 231 patients have died while waiting for an ambulance. This Government has already caused many needless deaths through political dogma of "private companies are best". When will this Country wake up to the fact that the NHS is being deliberately destroyed so that we accept paying high premium insurance based health care. |

"Good morning everyone. I’m getting ready to hit the picket line at my local (ish) ambulance station. This is going to be an emotive day, and much as I’m hoping to see some public support, I’m under no illusions - there will be abuse from the public.
In case any of you haven’t read the papers though, the NHS collapsed on Monday after a critical weekend. A&E waits, ambulance response times, access to primary care, absence of available hospital beds - everything collapsed. It happened. To be honest, even if you did read the papers, it probably didn’t feature. Maybe ask the healthcare professionals themselves - ask them how bad it was.
What we’ve all been warning you about for years has happened. We weren’t striking on Monday; we weren’t striking last weekend - this is simply the pressure that’s been mounting for over a decade.
So if anyone thinks that strike action is causing harm or loss of life - you’ve not been paying attention. We are taking action BECAUSE of what has happened; because of what we knew was going to happen. So don’t blame us for taking the final desperate sanction to try and protect the public and users of the NHS.
2022 and 2023 will likely go down in history as the final strikes of the NHS history. Sunak will soon push through laws to prevent us striking, Starmer won’t repeal them because he’s almost as bad, so this will be the final act of a desperate profession.
None of us ever wanted this.

When they look in the mirror, I wonder what they see? My guess is utopian contentment in that they are at the top of the heap, privileged and right in their thoughts actions and deeds.
