Forecast points for December 05:58 - Nov 27 with 4469 views | PioneerBlue | Tough set of fixtures, on balance more home games, squad depleted but times to rest prepare between games until final game. Lose form and we are on the back foot into Jan, pick up points and we are looking sweet into the NY ~ Fleetwood H Peterborough H Wycombe Wonders A Oxford H Portsmouth A WWWWW Why can’t we win them all? 15 points Time for Camera to start contributing, Burns to get going, Chappers to find his shooting boots, Edwards to take his chances and Ahadme to light it up. I know it’s all a bit far fetched but when you look at it like this you can see we’ve got more in the tank than has been on show recently.

Forecast points for December on 08:30 - Nov 27 with 4237 views | xrayspecs | Seven points would get us to 48 points from 24, which is 2 per game. We are currently four points ahead of schedule and this coming run will be tough, especially with us a few players light. Get to 2 Jan on 49 points, Lincoln away is another difficult game, and with reinforcements coming, we will be set well for the second half of the season.

I worry 92 points won't be enough this year. We just need to keep winning and getting points on the board.

Going back 25 years, 92 points has always been more than enough to secure second place in the third tier. Even in a season like the last one, with a number of particularly strong teams at the top and weak ones at the bottom, third place only registered 89 points. 90 is about the highest over that 25-year period.

Statistically you are of course right. I can't ever remember 3 teams going off at this pace though. Suspect 92 will end up being enough but we can't afford to assume it will. I'll be surprised if 3rd doesn't at least match the 89 points of last year.

This is still the banter era so if we do hit 92 points you can guarantee Weds or Plymouth will finish on 93 and 94. Think we’ll need 95 for top two

Forecast points for December on 12:42 - Nov 27 with 3872 views | BigCommon | Ugly run of fixtures, especially with our squad situation. And Oxford have sorted themselves out a bit recently.. Fleetwood don't give much away , defensively, either. So I can see them being one of those "tough to break down" teams.... I think anything "more" than 8pts would be useful.. I can see us dropping out of the top two for a week or two, tbh, by a fine margin. And then clawing ourselves back in, once some players return from injury.. I know I sound a bit pessimistic. But that's just how I see it, atm. 10 pts would be a brilliant return from that lot of fixtures. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Forecast points for December on 06:11 - Nov 30 with 3651 views | PioneerBlue | Current estimated range is 7 points (4 draws + 1 win or 2 wins + 1 draw) - 15 points! With 7 being enough to keep us on 2 ppg. 7 implied up to 2 losses in this group of games. With the limited squad, again this is where KMcK will earn his money keeping us fresh and competitive though Dec.

Forecast points for December on 07:24 - Nov 30 with 3563 views | ITFC_Forever | 11-12 points. We (fans) spend so much time worrying about ourselves, we forget we have the biggest and best squad in the division and are best places to cope with the injuries we have had… if any other side had the injuries we have have, they would have slipped away by now.

Forecast points for December on 14:47 - Dec 20 with 2844 views | ArnieM | The fact that most of our December fixtures are at home conversely, doesn’t fill me with confidence . We know how teams will approach the game and we are very poor at dealing with it. A few players need to “ show” more at the sharp end, and we must defend better when we are put under pressure. We do neither of these things very well at all. Sort that out snd we’ll go up in my humble view.

At home Stick Ahadme and ladapo uptop Diags over the top to Burns. Davis. Whip balls in. Score goals. Job done.

Whilst impressive and a sign of the vast improvement of the team and therefore to be applauded, the 2 points per game rate is pointless (so to speak) if two other teams manage slightly more, which may be the case this year. We really just need to concentrate on taking each game as it comes and work harder at dropping points that we shouldn't be dropping, of which there have been too far too many in recent weeks. Hopefully we'll remain in a strong position leading into the transfer window where we stand a chance of boosting our numbers on top of returning injury cases. And I trust the management and owners to do what needs doing to get us over the line.

Or 3 other teams, was surprised to see Barnsley have won their last 8, 5 in the league and with 2 games in hand. Win them and they would be right in the mix with us, Sheff W & Plymouth.

Forecast points for December on 16:11 - Dec 21 with 2190 views | BigCommon | 4pts from the first 3 games, so far . December always looked like a tricky one, from the day the fixtures were released. With or without injuries... I'd take 4pts now, from the remaining two fixtures. But I'm feeling weirdly confident and recon we could scrape a couple of tight wins. A win at home against Oxford, might just give us enough of a bounce to go and get a good result at Pompey. I just hope we don't take our eye off the ball a bit in the next few weeks. No doubt, there'll be some transfer whispers floating around the squad and fan base, alike... Time to roll up the sleeves and battle hard.
Forecast points for December on 08:00 - Dec 30 with 1792 views | PioneerBlue | My initial enthusiasm for December didn’t play out as expected. In fairness, I was being optimistic in the face of many injuries. But well done to Xrayspecs and BigCommon, they both saw a 7 points haul being likely. In fact it was 8 points over the 5 December fixtures and we are well set for the pressure to start building in Jan before Feb which is the real start of the business end for the EFL.
