The last time we limped into a playoff finish 09:32 - Feb 5 with 1709 viewstextbackup

Our form in second half of season was poor.

Don’t see this piss poor run ending soon. Our captain looks half the man he normally is.

Wtf is happening down there

Oh and the obsession of singing to an old man yesterday as opposed to supporting our team, weird fan base

We’ll be good again... one day

We don’t want to be limp. Hopefully KM gives them a stiff talking to.

i'm more concerned that the answer to a poor half is to throw any form of tactical book out the window and chuck harness in midfield with chaplin and morsy.

a niche perspective

I think we know there is always some sort of reasoning behind what McKenna does. We were chasing the game and Harness has more going forward. Perhaps he trusted Morsy to be the DM and wanted more attacking threat?

Truly impaired.

I dont think he helped himself with the bench available.
I can see the logic behind attacking threats, but only edwards had any technical ability, we lost control of the ball in the middle imo. It didn't help that Morsy got slower and slower as the game went on too.

Think he really needs sit down and look at what he's actually leaving himself on the bench

at the beginning of the season, he just needed to ensure we rotated the front line, but i think that's got to change and we need to see the likes of Aluko, Luongo available minimum.

Hang on a mo. You said you wanted McKenna to try things a few weeks back and he did yesterday.

Unless Aluko's injured or ill, I think he should at least be on the bench in every single league game we play from now on.

His calmness, poise & ball retention mean that our defence generally is under less pressure when he's on the pitch.

That’s a good point, because I’m sure the manger and his backroom staff hadn’t even thought about who they’d have on the bench. Probably slipped their minds to consider it. They’ll be grateful for the reminder.

I reckon they pick the pick and then put the names of all the other available players in a hat before picking out the ones to go on the bench

of course they've thought about it, just like he thinks about every aspect of setting up the side.

Unfortunately he's failing, so he does need to have a rethink. He'll learn.

It is a sign of arrogance again though. Four attacking players, one midfielder, one defender and a keeper, every single time. No full backs and a lack of appropriate cover in the middle all because we want to change the front four every single game.

Yesterday, McKenna realised he needed to do something different and didn’t quite have the players on the bench to manage it, so had to make do and mend. Will be interesting to see if that affects the subs bench in the future. I am going to gamble not.

Trying a few things has to actually have some logic to it.

He's tried random things in the past - Morsy at inside forward for example.

Trying new things for me would be breaking up the midfield 2 with the new signing who was one of league 1's best midfielder last season

bringing on Aluko in the final 20 minutes of games,

using the 2 uptop which he did at the end, but with the right players behind it.

Not fk up the bench options from the beginning and realise you'd got buger all to use at HT.

I don't believe for one second Davis was taken off for tactical reasons, no chance, and yes im saying KM is a liar with that, as people have been saying recently, at the top end of chances created in the league, our set piece taker, who only trained twice last week, but sure he took him off at HT for forward player Edwards for 'tactical reasons', absolute rubbish, he was tired, not suprising, and for some reason we didn't take leigh or even KVY to cover the most obvious sub that was going to be made.

Trying new things for me would be breaking up the midfield 2 with the new signing who was one of league 1's best midfielder last season - Maybe

bringing on Aluko in the final 20 minutes of games, - This has been happening all season when he’s been fit.

using the 2 uptop which he did at the end, but with the right players behind it. - He changed it up and went with 2 wide players high up the pitch, Harness deeper making runs into the box and he put a few balls in behind which we didn’t make the most of.

Not fk up the bench options from the beginning and realise you'd got buger all to use at HT. - Not sure how that is interpreted but whatever.

It's sometimes like we have too many options, Aluko is a quality player certainly at this level, cast your mind back to last season and Sunderland at home, he absolutely bossed that game in the middle, I'd like to see him given a real run of games...
