I think it has probably come from Takeshi's Castle.
I think the particular game I have in mind is Home Run, where contestants have to run across a beam above a water feature, whilst avoiding giant painted balls being swung at their midriffs. Often, the contestant would get freaked out and turn to face away from the incoming balls and consequently be struck on the posterior.
Craig Charles did some lovely alliterative commentary which went something along the lines of "Just look at those big b.... b.... bouncing off her backside!"
