Promoted today. Let's just hope we won't be playing them.

A great effort this season by Richie Wellen’s men. They’ve had an incredible 23 clean sheets this season.

An unusual mistake by some media big boys to promote Orient a bit early. I sent a congrats message to an Orient-supporting friend in Canada and he said he'd started partying.

I think they failed to notice that Bradford in 6th can catch them even if 4th and 5th can't!

Bradford do have to play Northampton. A draw would mean both teams could match the current Orient points total but Orient GD is currently around 10 goals better. A Bradford or Northampton win in their game would confirm Orient promotion. So Orient are not mathematically promoted but all but there.

A point from their remaining games is that they need.

A draw tonight at Gillingham secures a top 3 finish.

I wonder if McKenna is going to run the rule over El Miz.. on 08:30 - Apr 18 with 1090 viewsunstableblue

… in pre-season?

I know some Orient season ticket holders and they’ve been sending gushing messages all season, purring about just how good he is

I know it’s the league below, but I’ve always felt El Miz always good account of himself in a Town shirt

Paul Smyth will no doubt will Orients player of the season but El Miz will be right up there

Could he provide the defensive central midfield cover and Humphreys the attacking option?

Ball, Evans, Camara.. also pushing Luongo and Morsy? If the former stays

He’s only 22… so a key season next time round… if he is going to make it at Town

My view is that McKenna will spend large on a quality centre mid to make that step up… and that may leave a path for El Miz unclear

All we do know is that McKenna will be very up to speed on El Miz and his Orient season and performances and will make the right call

At the very worst El Miz should get a new contract and a loan at a League 1 club - he's the top performing young player at League 2 level this season and we need to ensure we retain him and hope he can do the same in the League One or higher next season.

People are too quick to write off youngsters - they should look at what Lee Evans, Sam Morsy, Dom Ball, Mass Luongo etc were doing when they were 21 years old and would be surprised

I think it makes sense to let him stay at Orient another season, lets see if he can excel in L1 now

Luongo must stay with us. He is plainly undroppable.

I’d 100% keep him. As you state he’s 22, and the likes of Luongo was only just stepping up a gear at Swindon in League One then I believe.

El Miz has an engine, much like Morsy, and that is a key attribute in central midfield.

I do think as stated McKenna will spend on a CM, but I’d rather see Evans leave, and El Miz given a chance, or given a loan at League One level. A season as a starter at a Bristol Rovers like club would continue his development nicely.

Ideally what you want to create is a situation like Brighton/Brentford, where it feels like every time you lose a player there's someone already in the building to take their place, who's just hitting peak age and ready to go.

Managing players like El Mizouni as they progress into their early/mid-20s feels like a big part of that task.

He does, but think it needs to be extended as a reward to him for his spell and to help map out his developmental pathway

No brainer. Looks capable of being a very good player and made an impact in games for us before going on loan which is obviously a really positive sign.

El Miz’s lack of game time has been more down to the takeover here and the finances we have available than his ability. Whenever he’s been given a go he’s done well and if he’s with Orient on loan again next season in League One I’d back him to do well. If we stay down I think he’ll be part of the squad.

It’s impressive how he’s managed to reinvent himself from being a winger to an all-rounder in midfield as well.
