We’re certainly an advanced team like Man City.

Although keeping the ball is relatively unimportant for us as soon as we’re in the opposition half. What’s more important, it seems, is to stretch the play so we play a lot of early balls or try to beat our man when we could just recycle possession. The key tactic seems to be getting defenders turned and/or always having to get into new positions so they just can’t stop us creating and finding space.

‘There is more than one way to skin a cat.’ Football would be extremely boring if all teams played in the same manner. Yes, we play a very decent brand of football in L1, but ultimately it’s all about winning games and if Wednesday choose to do it in a different way, then so be it. Over the last two seasons they have culminated more points than we have in this league with their direct style of play and let’s not forget before our terrific run of results recently ‘some’ on here were starting to question KM and his tactics and wondering whether we needed to change our style of play as it wasn’t conducive to L1 football. The fact we are on this great run those same voices of descent have quieten right down because we are winning football matches and find ourselves right in the promotion shake up. There’s no need to belittle other sides’ style of play in my view, ultimately if it gets them results who are we to question it?!
