Incredible job what he’s done there with a club in turmoil and literally homeless at times.

Agreed. Good, steady, dependable manager. Bit old school in all those things. He's really grown on me.

Always comes across as a nice guy.

Arguably he has underachieved because he seems to know where it's at.

Alex Ferguson probably owes him a few £m

Cov are a proper football club; Luton too.

Hope Cov do it.

Had some fun against them over the years - 4-2 at Highfield Rd, after being 2 down at HT; Pablo's last minute winner, Lisbie at the RICOH.

Can someone give me a brief summary on how Coventry have done this? Like pointed out above they were homeless and financial problems now on the cusp of the Premier league

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

That's the definition of constant improvement. I wonder how the fans' responded to his two mid-table finishes? I'm thinking itje context of the expectations placed on McKenna to finish minimum top 6 this season. It seems a bit daft to me to set such rigid targets. If you just aim to improve, ultimately you'll get there.

(Edit - he hasn't got 'there' yet of course, but if they don't win the final it seems like they've a great platform to build on as long as they don't do anything stupid and get on his back (see Sheffield Wed muppets).

You mean the fictional expectations that you have just made up? I'm sure we're all hopeful of a decent season ahead but some people seem to be trying to instill these expectations to the point that they become self fulfilling.

this is the kind of dry sarcasm i come here for. Their scouting must be top draw considering they're not a financial powerhouse

That's impressive continuous performance. Glad the b*dgies didn't go for him, and stuck to their Hunnish ways. Suspect that opportunity has passed for them now. Shame.

Agreed. He’s done an amazing job.

I bet our friends at Nodge had wished they had gone in for him when Farke left but glad he didn’t go there.

I saw some Nodge fans say that they should get him now and he'd jump at the chance of joining.

Only slightly more deluded that the Ipswich fans on Facebook thinking we should sign Anthony Elanga.
