Lots of stuff about today about how strong the Championship will be next season, lots of ex Prem clubs etc.
Given we have already sold 21,000 season tickets, demand for matchday tickets will be high if we have a decent season and the away end will probably be full almost every week, could we be on course for a 28k home average or thereabouts and would that be our highest ever? |  |

Given that compare to now, crowds weren’t as big, Town’s average gate is quite remarkable compared to clubs from bigger cities.

I thought when we were relegated from the PL ( and scum got promoted ), we averaged around 23k gates for about 4 seasons after relegation, which was phenomenal really, given that the club was on its knees financially, and was forced to literally give away the squad for a pittance. I also thought had higher attendances than “ them”, for about 3-4 season after we’d swapped places. |  |

Not as high as you might think but I assume our biggest crowds were at a time when crowds weren't that impressive
So relatively, we were pretty well supported in comparison with other clubs at the time
I still think the potential for Ipswich, if we were a regular in the Premier League is more like 35 - 40k
That may sound like madness but our support base is fairly good, as this season has proved really
