It does nothing for the players and nothing for ‘the atmosphere’. It’s plain wrong, whether at golf, tennis, snooker or anything else. Cheer /applaud after the shot is played, not as it’s played or before just so you can hear your own voice and tell your mates. | | | |

Yeah this thread really seems to be very upset with it, I don’t find it funny and I know the people shouting it think they’re hilarious amongst their mates but as long as it’s afterwards. It’s quite American which is the only thing, would prefer it if we started a chant for the golfer after they’d played their shots - would be more British.
