Matches NEVER used to be interrupted, let alone abandoned, so that a fan could receive medical treatment.

We don't know if time could have saved him last night.
The medical team had to go round the pitch rather than across is. Those seconds could have made a difference.
I get where you're coming from. But I don't think people would be faking heart attacks. Otherwise you could just hand out stadium bans to those that tried it.
But if it would make things quicker.. absolutely pause the game..
We paused for 7 minutes last night whilst a bloke walked off the pitch then back on it to go down with a broken nose. But you wouldn't want a game paused to potentially save a life? |  |
