Facepalm.

Poll: Favourite Norwich Relegation?

Didn't see this thread when I replied on the older one.

I am hopeful that the Afghanistan bowling might tail off like their batting did. Need a partnership from somewhere at any rate.

Brook starting to get into his stride. I still make it 50-50 really.

Bit of a daft decision to insert from Buttler imo. Ball is getting stuck in the pitch. It's the mystery spin against our lower order I worry about if these two don't go big.

Not looking good from here. Why on earth did they blow a review on the Livingstone wicket?

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Brook may have to do this on his own.

Damn I forgot this was on, 6 an over at half way with only 5 wickets left, should hopefully be fine but should not be in this position against Afghanistan!

I'm no longer 50/50.

This has the feeling of a 2015 rather than 2019 world cup for England.

I don't think the IPL/Hundred circus has helped at all. How much 50 over cricket does any of our lot play anymore? Our domestic 50 over comp is shoehorned in and is a massive undercard as that Hundred stuff struts its stuff.

Absolute gash with the ball and the bat today, totally getting what we deserve.

The ECB have lost the plot. How on earth are games against Ireland in the UK in September supposed to prepare the players for a World Cup in India.
Absolute joke.

It's hardly an excuse for not being able to beat Afghanistan though seeing as they barely play any 50 over games either, especially against any decent teams outside of the world cup.

I'm not saying it's an excuse, it's just not the England cricket machine 100% focussed on bringing home the trophy - which is their job!

This is England of 10 to 15 years ago really, a disgraceful performance

Wood and Rashid showing more in the last couple of overs than most of the rest of the team put together throughout the rest of the match.

Never a chance on earth we’d win a World Cup in the sub continent. Afghanistan have more chance tbh.

looking at the resources alone without all the other issues that the Afghans will have to deal with up against the World champions...well it is a bit crap.

Can't even field a team with the correct printing on their shirts, btw what is up with CAStore first they get the Villa shirts wrong, now this,

Guarantee no thought has gone in to how to win this trophy in the last 4 years, its why we called up Stokes at the last minute after he'd retired and is still clearly injured.

I think they just assumed they could bludgeon games like they do in England, but didn't take into account the change of conditions, which aren't even prime cricket time in India

I think we focused heavily on T20 with those back to back World Cups and never really reset properly since that

If you look at the form of the ODI side since those World Cups, it's been pretty average, clearly some complacency has crept in
