Forgive me, for I have sinned.. 20:53 - Dec 23 with 2061 viewsSitfcB

Part of the early leavers crew today, 75th minute.

Hate doing it but had to make an executive decision, especially with a 6 year old in tow, I always tell him leaving early is bad. It were the Leeds’ ole’s that did it guv.

I was annoyed about the Leeds fans in front as well, should’ve been Town there but they shafted us.

Managed to grab a Subway, that could be seen from the away end, the tease, with no queue and get back to the Premier Inn before the FT rush.

Horrible, horrible day at the office and my worst fears came true, tis why I so desperately wanted to take a draw days before KO.

Can look at it in a positive way that we unexpectedly picked up 6 points in our last two away games, so this was more than a free hit, just a shame it was a heavy scoreline.

However, if the ref blows up for the foul on Chaplin before the first goal then maybe it’s a different game, we did have a little spell in between the first and the second where we should’ve made it count.

Summerville is Premier League class, we knew that, hopefully he goes in January, though Clarke did ok against him all things considered.

Shîte away day all In all, the away ‘fanzone’ that was advertised was absolutely pathetic especially considering there’s no away pub option near the ground.

The away end is also pathetic for £47 a ticket.

Anyway, Christmas and we’re 2nd, 7 points clear of third. Never in a month of Sundays did any of us think we’d be here at this stage with only 4 losses.

Driving home for Christmas tomorrow, have a good one but bring on the main event in Boxing Day.

Onwards and COYB

I also sinned for the first time in my life on 82 minutes. I was pretty calm watching the Leeds fans, just thought I'd beat the traffic with 40,000 there today. If it had been a smaller crowd I'd have stuck it out.

I didnt sin, but then found that all the trains were delayed back to London, so maybe I should have done.
That last 20 mins or so was not pleasant watching at all. It was like they were just taunting us, waiting to score another when they felt like it. Some of the tricks and flicks they were doing, the oles, it was pretty hard work. Especially when some of our players then went to put in big challenges to sort it out, only to miss and end up with a booking.

I sinned too after 80 mins.

I wasn’t going to watch them take the piss. It’s a first time since losing badly at Reading some years back.

I don’t blame anyone for leaving early today, it was as a non contest and Leeds are already celebrating promotion, so not worth sitting through that either!

I too sinned, for the first time since the Charlton away pre season friendly. It was when the Leeds players were flicking it in front of us, including Firpo, who the Leeds fans don't seem to rate judging by their ironic songs about him.

At least I avoided the traffic, and was back to London by 6pm.

Anyone who leaves early should be stripped of their points

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

At least it doesn’t matter if you leave early then

Seems fair, I think I'd have done the same.

Only ever left once before - but similar combination of horrible ground/location and terrible result. The 5-1 at Reading back in 2015.

Here's to a better Boxing Day

Left before 60mins and avoided all the hassle getting back to the station. Got an earlier train and was home hours after I otherwise would have been. Most satisfying part of the day!
