Travis and Morsy in the middle 11:35 - Jan 16 with 2760 views | ChampionsofInnsbruck | That could be a winning combination, as much as I rate Mass and I am by no means arguing for him to be dropped, the idea of having Morsy and Travis playing alongside each other is also interesting to me given both of their qualities.
Travis and Morsy in the middle on 11:44 - Jan 16 with 2665 views | Bobbychase | The way Travis looked at home straight away in the Sunderland game made me feel more hopeful we can finish second. This time last year it took Broadhead and Hirst a few games to bed in and Luongo wasn't fully fit straight away. Travis and Sarmiento have hit the ground running.

You don’t think it might be quite a useful combination for Southampton and WBA, or indeed Middlesborough or Hull if they go at it all guns blazing?

I think we need to be more attacking in both of those games whereas the Leeds and Leicester games were more of a 'don't lose' scenario. edit. I think they will make an excellent combination when we are trying to see a game out when we have a narrow lead. [Post edited 16 Jan 2024 13:04]

My own edit - we may see them when we draw Man City in the FA Cup Semi Final

Travis and Morsy in the middle on 13:48 - Jan 16 with 1941 views | backwaywhen | A Blackburn fan posted after Travis joined us …….I pity any team facing Travis and Morsy from now on ……he obviously sees how strong that option is for us .
Travis and Morsy in the middle on 14:57 - Jan 16 with 1727 views | Marshalls_Mullet | Different playing styles, but its a bit like having Magilton and Holland in midfield. Two captains in the engine room. Great for driving the team on. Also very happy with Mass though.

Worst day of my life at that stage. Still haunts me today.

That was because we didn’t have Travis and Morsy playing

I've had a thought before about alternative cup finals. Could've been Town v Wolves that year. 78 could've been Orient v WBA. Doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

Travis and Morsy in the middle on 16:43 - Jan 16 with 1453 views | Metal_Hacker | I saw some posting the other day about the Travis debut saying they were a little underwhelmed or it wasn’t as good as some were making out . Personally I thought he was superb with only 3 days worth of training behind him in our system . I think the system for the most perhaps went out of the window ala Morsy receiving the back from Hladky or Woofie but overall, again IMHO , I thought he was superb . The two of them together would be quite interesting . As Mullet says two different styles but essentially two winners , both leaders , keen to put their foot in and front footed in terms of breaking the lines Mass for me , as much as I love thru guy has looked a little out of soughts recently , along with Broady , so competition for places with Sarmiento and Travis can only be good Now let’s get that striker !!!

Travis and Morsy in the middle on 18:21 - Jan 16 with 1278 views | carlo88 | Don't see this at all as they seem to be very similar players. I would have thought Travis & Luogo or Travis & Taylor a better combo. Or of course the original and the best Morsy & Luongo.

Travis and Morsy in the middle on 05:47 - Jan 17 with 1019 views | PioneerBlue | I know everyone’s inclination is to jump to starter pairings but the real strength comes at 60-70 minutes; knowing Morsy or Mass/Travis can got at it then you have the ability to make a change or when you’ve got Sat-Tues-Sat and legs are more tired; and you have the freshness of Mass/Travis to step into things. We know all three will continue to collect bookings but Morsy is now especially on a tight rope. You then also have Taylor getting minutes and building his championship experience (or Ball assuming he isn’t moved in window). The strength for me is this depth.

Travis and Morsy in the middle on 08:31 - Jan 17 with 905 views | cressi | The 3 of them will all get game time injuries suspended tired whatever all good players I wish we had 3 strikers for two positions like this area.
Travis and Morsy in the middle on 09:03 - Jan 17 with 877 views | RobTheMonk | That combination would allow Morsy to maraud even more, which is no bad thing in my book!
