Fair play to Leicester manager last night too 08:56 - Jan 23 with 3132 views | FrimleyBlue | Sky. " so you are miles clear at the top. Are you worried about the form of southampton. He responds along the lines of we are cautious of ipswich who are 2nd and also of leeds... How on earth does sky ignore a side who have just taken back their 2nd place when they've just watched them.

Indeed, they definitely don't. Every team thinks the same. In reality they are perhaps assuming we'll drop off so focusing on the others. I can't really blame them, it's unprecedented.

Fair play to Leicester manager last night too on 09:16 - Jan 23 with 2816 views | GlasgowBlue | Because over the last 5 games Southampton have averaged a point a game more than Leicester. Keep that up and Southampton overtake Leicester in the next few weeks. And I really hate people saying that we have taken back 2nd place. Each time this has happened is because Saints have played before us. We haven’t lost 2nd place on points per games since September.

Whilst I get what you're saying. The fact is they did play before so we did take 2nd back.

Fair play to Leicester manager last night too on 09:32 - Jan 23 with 2657 views | Churchman | I’d rather he hadn’t mentioned us. Much better to tootle along under the radar. But in reality I couldn't care a less what commentators, pundits or managers have to say about us. Southampton? Who cares. Or the others. Bully for them, or otherwise. It's all about us and what we do. 18 games to go, who knows. It’s very exciting and such a credit to the manager, coaches and players that we are in with a shout. Looking forward to seeing what we can do. I never got the desperate Plymouth desire to be recognised. It’s almost as tinpot as having Participants on your programme honours list. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

It's technically correct, if you're the sort of person who likes to see the negative side. Just like the other day when you posted about us letting the 10 point gap slip... only because we were playing later than the rest. Same old Frimmers, always frimming.

Fair play to Leicester manager last night too on 09:41 - Jan 23 with 2528 views | BlueNomad | Southampton have to play Leicester, Leeds, WBA and us away. If they come out of that lot with a good points haul then maybe you can accept they deserve to go up. Now they are twenty games unbeaten they are getting closer to losing a game! Sky only really love the PL and those on parachutes because they tend to have the biggest support (which of course is untrue) and the most expensive players.
It annoys me far more on 09:42 - Jan 23 with 2518 views | Guthrum | when commenters go on about how Ipswich will fall away when suspensions and injuries hit, while not recognising that we're coming out of a month of exactly that situation, during which we had a smattering of draws and no losses (taking Hirst's hamstring as the beginning of the crisis). We've also played the divisional leaders twice, while immediately before were the team then in third and a local derby. We're still in second position.

Again flash. Last week has nothing to do with this post so let's be grown up and discuss today. It's not negative in any form to stay we took 2nd place back. It's just factual.

Given in the greater context of your body of work though is easily viewed as negative.

Fair play to Leicester manager last night too on 10:00 - Jan 23 with 2270 views | Basuco | It was the same, if not worse, in 2000/2001 season in the PL, it was always how other teams were poor against us, not how good the likes of Jermaine Wright, Veno, Holland, Magic and Stewy were. We were the only team to win at Anfield that season as well, still limited praise. I now quite like how we are quietly going about our football, going into February in second place on equal games and on merit as well. We just have to accept it, smile, enjoy the journey and see where we end up in May.

If we had a game in hand that was going to be played in a few weeks then I’d accept that. But it was the same round of games played over just a couple of days so technically we were always second in the live table, as we’d start the Leicester game on one point.

Exactly. Our excellent efforts inside the first 1 second got us back into 2nd immediately. ;) Don't worry I get where you're coming from and you do have a point.

What utter bollox - I’m assuming that you’re not trolling. Sky are an entertainment business and as such they want the season to be as exciting as possible be it the PL or the championship etc. The fact that the top four of the championship is quite tight(ish) means that it’s good for business as more people will tune in. To suggest otherwise is complete and utter twaddle.
