Have added 'beach' to narrow it down a little. Not hanging around with this one though are they.

Well you wouldn’t want to go there while all those inconvenient people are still there, would you? As Trump’s SIL says, it’s really unfortunate that they can’t be palmed off on other countries. Pretty inconsiderate of them really, wanting to live in their homes.

It isn't often you hear it talked about while the bodies are still under the rubble though is it. It's almost like Gazans are regarded as less than human.

It's safer and more profitable to let, surely.

Largs is the place for the ice cream wars, Frinton I think is more of a letters to the council when a blade of grass is out of place on the Esplanade type of place.

For those that like beach holidays in former conflict zones. on 11:46 - Mar 20 with 1865 views | jayessess | Seem to recall Boris Johnson saying similar things about Libya not so long ago. (In practice, many European holiday-makers historically don't seem to have much interest in ensuring their holidays don't take place in current or former crime scenes. Mass tourism in Spain and Portugal predated the fall of their fascist dictatorships, lots of tourism in Turkey, Egypt and various other places with authoritarian regimes engaged in political repression. Sad really.)

For those that like beach holidays in former conflict zones. on 12:59 - Mar 20 with 1820 views | NthQldITFC | I have to say that reading that has shaken me somewhat. There's nothing particularly unexpected or new there (coming from someone like him), but it has drilled home a feeling of despair about the trajectory of humanity: When I was a kid, my grandparents didn't talk about World War II much, and my parents were too young to remember it, but of course I saw on TV and read all sorts of things about that era and I knew that there had been real 'evil' intent and action from some of the leaders of the major nations dictating the 'feel' of the entire world at the time and driving the future of humanity. I remember the end of Cold War (but it was quite 'cold' by then), and things like the Falklands and Iraq/Afghanistan which were relatively minor events (though not for those involved directly, obviously). Essentially though, from a sheltered Western perspective our future has seemed relatively safe and with people running the show who, whilst I might not agree with their actions and morals to a large extent, I've always felt had enough regard for natural justice in them that they'd, perhaps grudgingly, do the right thing on massive issues when it came down to it. Even Thatcher to some extent! I suppose what I mean by all that waffle, is that for some reason that article emphasised to me that we're right on the edge of an era of an entirely heartless, shameless, ruthless and authoritarian greed-driven world regime if human decency and selflessness doesn't quickly start to come shining through. Sorry for sharing that sh!t.
