As much as it is a great stat, I think it does Hirst a disservice. I think the real story is when we no longer had a striker that could operate like Hirst or Moore, the table looked like this...

His debut pulled 2 goals back from 3-0 down. His full debut we drew 2-2. Since then, the only points we have dropped have been Cardiff where we were 1-0 up when he went off.
He will be a big miss if he doesn't play at all. I am confident Al Hamadi can give us a very good option but Moore is better than this level and we have done very well to get him. |  |

NthSuffolkblue has a good point. Defenders are so busy worrying about Moore, it creates chances for other players. Either way, it creates goals. He is a great player, either they freeze him out and we win because they are distracted or they don't and we win.

Unfair to who? Think it is complementary to Hirst and Moore. I don't think any of the players would be offended to hear they don't have the same hold up play or presence to bring in the 10s.
2 points from QPR, Stoke, and Preston in those six games. So it wasn't down to opposition quality at that stage. We'd already lost 4-0 to Leeds for example. | |
