With Walton looking likely to move on Hladky yet to agree new terms Slicker loan apparently, Wonder who we will have as keeping options in our squad this season . Rishworth linked wonder who else likely ?

I took Phil's article that we will need three keepers, assuming Hladky wont be happy to play second fiddle. If that is the case and we pay out an expensive fee for Rushworth, I can't imagine we will want to go too heavy for the backup keepers.

Maybe Bart as a backup option. His son still plays for the academy doesn't he?

a niche perspective

Not sure that Bart ticks Premier boxes even as a back up ! 3rd choice maybe but I think it's unlikely.

No, not really what Kieran wants from a keeper.

yeah sorry i just meant as the third keeper for training, warm up etc, as slicker going out on loan as Bart is 36 so just reminded me of some of the recent experienced keepers joining prem clubs just to help behind the scenes.

His family moved there months ago and now he's joined them over there

That was what I'd heard was happening. Freedom of movement a Polish passport affords!

Think we might want an U21 for that role as per Slicker last season.

Walton will be staying. He likes it at Town, and will certainly be here next season at least. FACT.

Gray is big for his age, had a decent loan and has already trained quite a bit with the U21s. Any chance he steps into that role? Would imagine if one of our first two keepers were to get injured an emergency loan wouldn't be too difficult if required.

Would rather keep Slicker as a 3rd choice and not loan him out as opposed to potentially bringing 3 new ones in. A new 3rd choice who is a significant upgrade seems unlikely. Anyone else agree?

Think we might have a very unhappy young keeper though perhaps better he gets games on loan somewhere.

That's a fair point, Kieran talked him up at the end of the season, but might be viewed as a bit much for him. With that in mind, I wonder if we could look at a late 30s veteran for the third-choice role. Depends whether we feel a third-choice keeper is worth taking up a place in the squad.
