He seemed to have far more joy when Chaplin came on and he went out wide, replacing Burns. Seen him desperately trying to get in a shooting position from being a number ten but ultimately running into a dead end.

Completely agree. The worry is, how do we not yet know this is Omari's game? Why try to keep forcing him through the middle.

Lost it when attempting to dribble, passing was off. And most frustrating was not trying to get round burns, or giving him an option down the line. Was very unlike him today.

Omari mate… need to be better than that today. on 22:51 - Sep 21 with 5061 views | TRUE_BLUE123 | Yep his final ball has looked a little off in all the games this year. Seems to be snatching at shots and just holding it too long and undercooking passes. It's just the attack that needs a bit of a tweak and I think we will be a pretty decent team. Defence looks good, midfield looks good with good options. Just a bit disjointed going forward. Not sure SS looks comfortable in that position. We will get there though. Think this is KMs biggest test to date. He's got alot of options in that front line. The question is which one of those players has the ability to get the ball through to create clear cut chances. We aren't going to get many burns free on a run shots like last season or davis pullback to Chaplin type chances. Defences are too good. So we need defence splitting passes. Like Southamptons today or ours v man city. We figure that out and we will be dangerous.

Why Chaplin has been so limited on game time is beyond me, one of the most important cogs in our system over the past two seasons with the like of Burns, Morsy, Davis.

Me and mate were saying this about SS, from memory most of his goals for BB we’re running through the middle, doesn’t look comfortable getting it pinged into him. Delap is good when he’s acting alone (his run vs Brighton, run/goal vs Fulham) not so much a striker to bring others into play. Jack Clarke and Leif were standing on top of one another. Omari not busting a gut to get beyond burns, and disjoint at other times. We have also many to pick from (which you do need) but need them to properly gel I guess

Thought Burns should have come off at half time. He wasn't in the game at all. We haven't nailed our approach going forward yet. Lots of potential and options though. Muric did great. Fantastic saves today.

He’s the first name on our team sheet atm for me.

He didn't have a great game by his standards but he always offers and is central to everything. Opposition hate him because he is unpredictable and so talented. I still think he was one of our better players today.

He had a great shot in the first half, but for me one of his least impressive 90mins that I’ve seen of him today. Just a bit sloppy. Of course he’s a top little player so it’s not a worry.

Because he is lacks the pace to play in the premier league, sadly.

Yes, his decision making is a bit off at the moment but he’s consistently capable of making things happen. Given how much he improved last season, then I’m quite confident that he’ll get that right too. He was clearly frustrated at times yesterday, a silly booking as a result.

Omari mate… need to be better than that today. on 18:22 - Sep 22 with 3403 views | Swansea_Blue | There’s a lot of expectation on the lad. Last year was effectively his first season in senior competitive football, and he needed some time out from the starting lineup to get up to speed then. Now he’s expected to deliver straight away in the PL, yet it’s obviously he’ll need some time to get up to speed with this league too (as will all of them). I’m sure KM and the coaches will know how to develop him.

I'm wondering if he is feeling the pressure, at the moment. Record signing, fans love him, high expectations. Might need a bit of nurturing and patience. It's a big weight on his shoulders. It's easy to think that young players tend to be fearless and not get affected by pressure, but some young lads are prone to feeling the pressure. I think it's why some go off the rails a bit. Like Brandon Williams, for example. I think he will come good this season, though. He's got the right staff and squad around him.

Mick Mills a true legend football expert definitely not. Hutchinson is without a doubt our best forward player not counting centre forwards. He tries even when things go wrong we have a star on our hands get behind the lad.

Morsy is a holding midfielder so not a fair comparison, but he too does lack a yard of pace at this level although with his skill plus sheer will and determination he holds his own. Chappers unfortuantely is not quick enough to be truly effective in the 10 role in my opinion and I think this will bear out by the number of starts he gets. He is still a great finisher but will we realistically create enough chances for him at this level to justify him starting? I don't think so. You state it "simply isn't true" like I have said something factually incorrect. It is your opinion which is different to mine, and that's fine. Time will tell.

Here we go. Squad select bingo. Chaplin has been way off the pace and not consistent for a while now that’s why he’s been limited.
