I don't think it's wrong to start feeling a degree of concern now. Eight games in and still no sign of a win, and that's now having played a handful of games that surely must have been marked as winnable.
What baffles me most is the fact that we were able to give Villa and Fulham a game, yet seem to have regressed since then. |  |

I think those of us who accepted at the start of the season that staying up would be an excellent but ultimately slightly unrealistic target are not going through the whole gamut of emotions that other fans are. We came up too soon, basically. Promotion was and will be the pinnacle, as far as I'm concerned. I'm choosing to just enjoy the ride and accept what ever comes along. It's much more enjoyable than convincing oneself that we can stay up and get crushed every time we lose.
That having been said, I'm not impervious to the errors that are costing us. But these players need to, and will most probably learn and become better players for the experience. Whether that comes in time to save us from the drop remains to be seen. |  | | |

It's not just about individual brilliant saves or howlers though is it - it's also an underlying confidence thing - does the (varying) defence trust him, and does he trust them? They need to work together as a unit. | |

Agree. Settling a back four has not happened,.not least because of Tuanzebe being injured, and the new partnership of Greaves and O'Shea. I think Burgess and Woolfenden haven't looked out of their depth but how does Muric manage a constantly changing line-up?
Muric's distribution today is hugely improved, though.

Yes, v. thankful to hear of the early subs! The pen being denied seemed to suck a lot of the positivity out of us.
