Have to agree, nobody closes down in that front role like GH...knows exactly where to position his run from to isolate one or even two options... Conor Chaplin also read it like a book and they often create an opportunity to steal the ball between which was especially evident today.... I would love to see Delap on the pitch at the same time as them both but agree that we have to manage their workloads.... so I just think periods when we overlap their substitutions could be beneficial with defences having to cope with both big men for 10-15 minutes... might just knock them out of shape so we can thenchange our shape again at the next change. Delap is so much quicker. Much better at closing down. Better at wining the ball, hirst took his goal well but thought he was fairly annonymous for the second half. | | | |
