In Forest's first season up (22/23), after seeing major squad turnover in the Summer, they had 5 points from 10 games, and had scored fewer and conceded more than we have. They finished the season on 38 points and safe by 4 points.

That could easily be us this season. Dare to believe!

I do feel we're going to get better and better as the season goes on. So long as we don't leave ourselves with too much to do, but I think we'll be alright

I'll feel better once we get over the next international break. Full squad back. Hopefully some defensive options for KM to call upon should he need to late on in games and we've had have our 15 game pre season. :)

I was thinking about the similarities with Forest's first season and us, we both signed perhaps too many new players and they had to really kick off about refereeing decisions before getting their fair share, I think we have to do the same now - do something to make headlines and get the media talking about our refereeing injustices - just to make the ref's aware we've been screwed over and they'll get negative headlines if they do the same!

Think we are getting smarter and more PL savvy with every game and some of the basic errors we've made in the first 10 will disappear very soon.

Fortunately, there have been enough other teams with poor starts that we are not by any means out of touch at this stage.

There is also a precedent at Ipswich. In Roy Keane’s first full season we didn’t get a win in our first 14 games and only picked up 9 points. In a few of those games we had conceded some last minute goals when it looked like we would win or draw.

We went on to finish that season in 15th, 9 points clear of relegation. If we can catch a break there is no reason why we can’t turn our draws into wins and our defeats into draws.

You could say we need to maintain "play off form" for the remainder of the season if we wish to stay up.

They were also 20th, which we aren't.

I'd also say that longer-term 5 draws is probably a better sign you can regularly compete than 1 win and 2 draws is.

Think we've all agreed one thing. Take away those two games after the villa game and it was basically self emploding which lead to us not getting a win.

If we can eek out and stop those individual errors we can win.

Do you really think that?
That’s not a dig at all btw, just, I’m not really seeing it at all.
I of course hope you are right

Was that the same season in which they made several very public statements about 3 poor VAR decisions/non-decisions going against them in the same match which very directly accused the officials of deliberate bias too? Didn't seem to do them any harm in the long run did it?
