IF we get relegated, losing Ogbene will be a massive reason for it.. Wes Burns is unfortunately just not good enough for the Premier League, im one who has loved him for the last 2 years, but either his confidence has gone, or his legs have.. Kmc wants Omari to play in the 10, which means we have no other option to keep using Burns, havent seen him try and run round his fullback once this season, gets the ball and tries to get rid of it at the earliest opportunity every time.

Dunno, even if he was fit, I don't think he's actually the quality we needed anyway, hes basically another version of wes who needs space and balls played over the top.

What we needed imo is another hutch to play the hutch 10 role to enable hutch to play the right role.

I think a new #9 and RW are the minimum requirements in January.

Otherwise we'll have to use Johnson at RWB in addition to a RB like we've done a few times this season with some success.

It'll be a contributing factor, for sure. It's no coincidence that Ogbene was having his best 45 mins for us at Brentford when we were 2-0 up and looking a real threat on transitions.

Personally he is a miss but hardly going to keep u up average at best had 1 Yr at Luton who got relegated another championship player who may or may not step up to Premiership football.

Sliding doors . . . Ogbene doesn;t get injured, we don't concede 2 before half time and go on a 6 game unbeaten run.

Such is life though.

Not sure - he was helping to run the game at Brentford. It swung after he went off.

As someone has said on another, it's fine margins

When you are playing well, you tend to get this sort of luck, when are you already finding it hard, luck tends to bite you in the behind

It is what it is, we are a bit short, we were always likely to be after back to back promotions

We are still in the mix, it's going to be a battle, it is what it is

We desperately need a result against Wolves, we can't afford another Palace style defeat or we are in big trouble

I wonder whether Jack Clarke might be an option in Burns role, allows Hutchinson to stay in the 10 and Szmodics and Broadhead can compete for the left 10.

I’m not sure. There was lots to like about Ogbene, especially his pace. But I didn’t see a lot of effective output from him. That’s harsh though as he got injured before he got going really so you might be right..

What little I saw of Ogbene didn’t convince me he was any better than Wes.

If we get relegated it’ll be a combination of failing to secure a striker in the summer, mistakes mostly from our goalkeeper and new defence in the opening 8 or so games that cost us so many goals, and most critically, whatever happens over the next 20+ games.

As someone pointed out to me on another thread we have to play Clarke because he cost so much. But that’s the only reason, as I’m not seeing him offer anything else.
