Probably the loudest fans all season 22:13 - Dec 14 with 2919 viewsDJR

Just watched a Wolves video which praised our fans and said we were probably the loudest this season.

As it is, I thought our fans being seated the length of the pitch meant the atmosphere we created was not as good as normal.

The accoustics are incredibly poor, defo didnt get anywhere near the volume we normally do.

Such a shame as the old stadium with a split terrace (The south bank) behind the goal was very reminiscant of the North stand at Portman Rd. Instead they have defeloped a souless ground,

Thought we sounded really loud on the TV, and the commentators mentioned the away crowd noise.

Yeah. You could make a real din in that old South Bank. The Wolves lot on the other side of the fence were insanely loud when I went up there late 80s.

I said to someone today, the South Bank was the loudest I've ever heard inside a stadium. The low roof really did magnify the noise, reckon I first went 88 or 89.

Then they built a new stand, switched the pitch and left the fans 20 odd meters away from the pitch....

I thought it was good. Long narrow side doesn’t lend itself to singing cohesively but I thought it was pretty loud.

And that corner at Elland Rd … and watching matchstick men up in the gods at Newcastle …

You can at least generate an atmosphere there. Admittedly, that’s very poor as well.

Elland Rd away section is no different to other clubs, Newcastle isn’t great either, but at least you’re under a roof and can generate an atmosphere.

It used to be terrible for leg room but I don't imagine many sat down yesterday?

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.
Poll: Which recent triallist should we have signed?

From my position at the top of the Stan Cullis stand, I can confirm we were very very loud. Obviously we went into a bit of a lull after the equaliser, but the ABSOLUTE SCENES at the end were incredible. As much as I enjoyed the whole corporate thing, having to bite my lip and watch you lot go mental was tough.

We're the left side/we're the right side was very enjoyable and came at a point when 27000 Wolves fans were completely silent.

As mentioned elsewhere, the South Bank Roar at Molineux can be quite intimidating, but it just didn't seem as fierce as normal on Saturday.
