| Injury news from presser 13:57 - Jan 10 with 2268 views | Vic | “Hirst back Sunday, Szmodics out for a few weeks with ankle problem” Great news re Hirsty, but flippin’ heck - we really aren’t having a lot of luck with injuries are we. | |

| Injury news from presser on 13:59 - Jan 10 with 2188 views | nrb1985 | Thought what McKenna said the other day re Omari's injury being related to "over use" was quite telling and was surprised he was so candid. Really feels like we have not adapted player training programs and workloads to the new demands of the PL. I can't believe all these injuries are just bad luck when for the two seasons before we barely had any injuries. | | | |

I get where your coming from, but knee and ankle injuries can’t be because of training can they. But there do seem to be quite a lot of muscle pulls. I wonder if it’s a thing that other promoted clubs find - I mean, the spread and strength of prem players is so much higher than the championship it’s perhaps not surprising it finds some players out.

| Injury news from presser on 14:06 - Jan 10 with 2014 views | Metal_Hacker | We do seem to be having more bad luck / injuries this season than last and with a lighter work load in terms of games Maybe the higher intensity is to blame for a lot of this | |

| Injury news from presser on 14:12 - Jan 10 with 1905 views | Pique | And worryingly it looks like Delap may have to start on Sunday in the absence of any other realistic options. Really could have done with him having a rest. | | | |

I'd certainly imagine its the intensity. Pretty sure someone put something on here about the players stating the difference in recovery times in the Prem which probably ties in with our injury list and quite a few young players. What works against us is the lack of depth in comparison to the established sides.

Ideal game for AAH - just about his level at the moment.

Delap probably won’t even be on the bench let alone start.

Not sure he's remotely fit enough to start. [Post edited 10 Jan 2025 14:54]

Won't matter - he's starting unless a move is agreed before then.

Give him some crutches and get him on the pitch. Anything to give Rory a rest.

Why - no squad limits in Jan, so why not play an U21 or AAH etc?

Don't disagree, playing Delap would be very risky. Options behind the central striker looking very thin now as well. Only Clarke, Burns and Broadhead left now by my count (and I'd rather not risk Broadhead). Move Taylor up there maybe? [Post edited 10 Jan 2025 15:02]

Because I'm not sure Al-Hamadi could run to the shops at the moment, let alone start a football match. But we may have little choice.

I think he will either start or not play at all. With no striker through the door and an unfit AAH it will now rest on whether Hirst is fit to start. Wouldn’t surprise me if KM did this. It’s either Delap or Hirst to start.

Ali will start, pretty certain about that.

Delap should be at home wrapped up in cotton wool on Sunday. Cup of tea, listening to Brenner.

And we were playing more games, guess it just goes to show how much more is needed for the PL.
