I think it's fairer to say that Bullard's legs went at about the time he signed permanently. He only played about two more games after leaving Ipswich.

Harbey is a player who more encapsulates those dry years between Robson/Division One and getting back into the top tier under Lyall.
He wasn't great but there have been worse players since. He wasn't a hate figure, just not a brilliant footballer among a few in a mediocre era. In fact, in his first season, or at least first half of it, he picked up a fair few Fisons man of the match awards and grabbed a few goals from left back.
David Hill arrived the next season and more or less unseated him in the starting line up. [Post edited 20 Jan 16:02]

Ha ha ha - I remember Harbey, although I don't think he ever played in the top flight for us, it would have been after relegation in the mid 80s, the John Duncan glory days.

In all my years here, I don't think I have ever seen people lament that much on Graham Harby. Chopra is probably one of the ones who gets mentioned a lot, as does Martin and Bullard.
Hard to really pin point who my most disliked player is, Chopra is pretty high up there, but he had some decent games for us - Paul Taylor is someone who was a teet off the field and did bvgger all on it and probably edges it for me. |  |
