Feel a lot worse for seeing that Leicester result, than I did after Man City, or Liverpool. Spurs are absolute dog shyte and Leicester still struggled, so there’s that at least.

We are 1 point behind safety with plenty of the season left.

Leicester have lost their previous 7 on the trot so, unless this is a sudden change in form, we can expect them to still struggle despite this result against a team we already know are as inconsistent as lumpy custard.

And it looks like the one player we needed this window, a striker, is something we won’t be getting.

How many people were saying just crawl to the transfer window so we can get that striker. And here we are

... a bit rather than a lot.

We are 2 points away from being safe or 1 point and a 3 goal swing on GD.

Let’s be honest we expected nil points from these two games. The emphatic level of the defeats and goal difference was disappointing though.

That said, the odds were always against us this season having back to back promotions with no time to build a competitive squad. We’ve done okay when you consider Leicester and Southampton were both established PL teams, and I still think we’ll finish above both.

Perhaps my expectations were low, but I just wanted to be competitive this season (even with relegation), and not a sheff utd style whipping boys. Last couple of games has get that way, but overall we’ve looked largely competitive.

We need a striker yes, but as KM said they are few and far between. Where we currently are it would be foolhardy to spend a vast amount on a striker as there's every possibility if they didn't come good and we were relegated we wouldn't recoup the money and besides without a midfield capable of providing the link needed between defence and attack what good would a further striker be.

Calm down dear.

There’s a week left and if there is a deal that KM wants done they’ll be trying to do it.

Or we have lost 3 on the trot (whilst playing 3 top half sides) and yet still remain in touch with safety.

We've played 8 times against the current top six (gaining 3 points)
Leicester have played 6 times (no points)
Wolves have played 10 times (1 point)
Everton have played 5 times (4 points)

We have fewer very difficult games than Leicester or Everton, but have done better than Wolves and Leicester from those already gone.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Yeah, just seen the result and it’s a kick in the nuts for sure. Still, we’ve got another 15 chances to get a better result than Wolves and Leicester. We only need to do that once and then at least match them. ‘Only’ lol

ManCity was one of the most humbling defeats that I’ve watched in 40 odd years following, alongside side earlier draws and losses in games like Soton Brentford or Bournemouth, they were the games when the reality hits how monumental the task is. Seeing a few results turn for opponents is nothing like the rollercoaster emotion of being at the game’s and seeing points taken off the table from my perspective.

The Premier League is a vastly different animal to the one we’ve experienced previously and a lot of clubs have had so much more income, for so long now, that even in the midst of a really poor run of form, there’s always the likelihood that they’ll turn it around with the quality available to them and the teams coming up are so weak in comparison, that it’s virtually impossible to displace these sides. Humbling as it may be, results like the City one are inevitable at some point, we just need to try and put it behind us, get some more quality players in before deadline day and do the best we can to achieve that 17th spot.

Don’t really understand why anyone would spend 22 years waiting for us to reach this division only to then spend it worrying about the next one and getting depressed about it. What Leicester do evokes no feelings in me whatsoever.
I’m enjoying this season for what it is and, as much as I hope we stay up, I’m not going to lose sleep over it whatever happens.

I think it could be good timing, the team need a bit of pressure in them now. Will be interesting to see how they react. Whilst we have not been great last 3 games, i would say we have not got out of 1st gear
