The two goals the two stand-out moments by some distance.

Fussy ref. Misplaced passes. Two good goals to be fair.

Much better than the tippy tappy rubbish that is on offer these days.

Both teams going for it, a bit of niggle and plenty of passion.

He's let some things go (Diaz barging the CB twice) and then given some very cheap free kicks and yellows, bit strange.

I'm quite glad Ndiaye was forced off having seen his cheating to win the free kick that led to the goal.

Poor game apart from the needle.

Expecting more from Liverpool. They look ragged.

Switched on at half-time.

Everton having the better of the second half by far, but lack the quality in the final third.

And before I can press “add reply”, Salah scores, hadn’t noticed him at all!

Credit to TNT for sticking with the whole aftermath, rather than a poe -faced “No one wants to see scenes like this”.

Yes, 2-2 about right for that game. Added time solely because two Everton players ran into each other too.

After the reds fans were singing YNWA at the end thinking they'd won the last Goodison derby, they shouldnt cry when Doucoure gives some back!!

Well done lad.

What a send off for Goodison. Proper football, proper atmosphere and proper passion.

We’re going to be the penultimate game. Never mind the league positions, us and the Southampton fans will feel like intruders on someone else’s grief.

I noticed that Doucoure was a safe distance from Big Virg before he started gobbing off at him. Wise move.

"nobody wants to see these type of scenes after the final whistle"

I make the TNT commentary team wholly wrong.

EDIT: It wasn't TNT but an overseas channel that I might well have been watching. Somehow.

My in-laws are Evertonians, so I have a soft spot for them.

And as my father-in-law (a long time season ticket holder whose first game was around 1944 in the war league) died just over a year ago, I am looking forward to our game as a way of remembering him.

I was also hoping to go to the new stadium next season, not least because we've managed to get an inscribed stone in his memory there, but that is on the basis we stay up.
