Yes. The 3rd tier is split into north and south divisions and like you asked The Championship and WSL are above them. The top team from each regional division are promoted to The Championship (I think).

12 in WSL 11 in Championship (as Reading went bust) 12 in our league and 12 in the northern equivalent
So effectively we are in the division with clubs ranked from 24th to 47th in the pyramid so men's football wise it is basically the Championship.....and hopefully be in the 13th to 24th ranked division next season

Saw them at the gaumont(regent) late 70s really good there drummer was brilliant, charlie white I think his name is, probably wrong though,
Sadly I was too stupid to go to that gig but looking at the Wikipedia page for The Blockheads I reckon that the drummer around that time was Charlie Charles. I did see Ian Dury as part of Kilburn and the Highroads though, when they supported Brinsley Schwarz at the Baths Hall in 1975. I had thought that Charles was the drummer on that occasion too but Wikipedia tells me it was David Rohoman. Must be correct because they say he used crutches (to walk with, not to drum with) and the sight of Dury taking to the stage walking with a stick and then the drummer shambling on didn't fill our teenage hopes for an explosive performance. How wrong we were.

3rd tier, but it's not particularly low down

The man behind the bar in the pub we were in near Coventry was the father of Abbie Lafayette.
She now plays for Sheffield United in the Championship.
He said she isn't very well paid at that level.

Two iconic (but at the time likely little known) pub rock bands, a genre which was a pre-cursor in many ways to UK punk.
But I don't think punk (in the sense of very fast basic rock music) would have emerged without the Ramones. They were certainly a big influence on Joe Strummer of the 101ers, and according to him encouraged UK bands to speed up.
EDIT: worth posting a couple of Brinsley Schwarz songs, and I didn't realise Nick Lowe went to Woodbridge School.

And as the Championship table shows, the gulf in quality between the leagues is truly massive and Town will struggle unless we invest heavily following promotion. Portsmouth walked the WNL last season and have collected 2 points this season in the Championship.

There's definitely a plan in place, hence the extra backroom staff this season. It might be a challenge, equivalent to the men in the Prem really. But let's not get ahead of ourselves: win the next 3 and that Portman Road game v Cardiff in 5 weeks could be really special...

Will they still be able to play at Felixstowe in the Championship?
