He has stopped it twice for non head injuries to Tottenham players and also for a very similar head injury incident the other end.

Anyone who claims there isn't bias towards established PL teams needs to go look again a the evidence.

I do hate the way players go down with "head injuries" when they are perfectly fine just to stop the game. There must be a way to cut that out especially with VAR. No cause for it and a yellow card would probably do the trick. |  |

I didn't see an earlier incident, not that that has any bearing on that one, other to underline an inconsistent referee, but that wasn't my point. My point was if you blow the whistle as soon as someone clutches their head, the game will descend into chaos. I would have been most annoyed if he'd blown if we were attacking as it didn't look serious. The referee has got to have some discretion. If it's clearly serious by all means blow but that didn't look it, so fine to wait a bit. | |

That only makes sense if you think a previous decision has a bearing on the decision in question. I don't believe it does. Where are you going with that? A decision made by the same ref last week, last year? The argument that the referee is inconsistent is another issue.
A contrarian is not someone who takes a minority view, it is someone who takes an opposite view for the sake of it, rather than being their genuine position. Couldn't make any sense of that one. Even in real time, the incident was a clear coming together of heads.
Based on that video that Sky put out during the week, about communication between officials, I can quite imagine the linesman piping up with "head injury, 24, blue" but, for whatever reason, the referee chose to completely ignore the protocols.
What was even weirder, was that Greaves wasn't allowed on for the restart, despite play not having had to stop for him to receive treatment. | |

I think that if refs are playing on because of faking an injury, fine with me. But as in rugby, medical staff should allowed on in such circumstances, rather than wait for permission from the ref.
One, it lets the game flow,
two, the player is treated quicker
three, it cuts out any faking

Jeez not this again how about a quick shake of the bonce and getting on with it.By then it was 3.1 anyway and the game was over,some should just accept that we are not good enough for this league.
Anyway Son ripped us a new one watching the highlights a few times it was almost as if it was ‘get the ball to Son’.. Town were in slow motion compared to him.
