So you have a choice between being pillaged by the Russians or the USofA. Or like Africa you can have the Chinese.

School bullies the lot of them.

Oh and finally you will forever be in debt and never able to pay it off.

Any rebuilding required the contracts will be given to our companies also.

They’re being blackmailed and have no choice. Extortion basically.

It’s a bit like the scene in Goodfellas where a store owner is being robbed and bullied. He seeks protection from the local mafia boss Paulie and it’s given with the proviso they go into partnership. The people who were already robbing it who are now partners continue to drain it until there’s nothing left. The business is fully signed over bankrupt and burned down.

That is what’ll happen to Ukraine.

The deal is empty Ukraine of its wealth as ‘payment’ (made up by Trump), but really it’s a deal with Russia who will have control of Ukraine in no time. Calls for elections (ironically by a couple of a’holes like Putin and Trump) are purely to get the right man in the job and Ukraine can be absorbed with no further Russian losses.

They can then move on to the Baltics, Balkans and Poland. For the US, right and wrong, the lessons of history - all in the bin for $$ and control of what it wants in Canada, Greenland etc. A division of the spoils with best friends Russia and distrusted friend China.

I wonder who this will benefit.
It won't be the American parents who are having to work 2 or 3 jobs, to feed their kids.
It won't be Ukranian children, whose fathers have been killed while fighting an illegal invasion of their land.
It won't be the families of Russian and North Korean conscripts, who were killed, fighting a war they didn't want.
It won't be Poles, Latvians or Lithuanians, living close to the Russian border and worrying whether they'll be next.
It won't be the people of Greenland, who might soon have the natural resources of their own land pillaged.
So who will benefit from this? Answers on a postcard, if you can afford one.

US are playing both sides; Putin already offering the US mineral rights (large chunk of which from the region of Ukraine that Russia are occupying)

"It is estimated that about 5% of the world's "critical raw materials" are in Ukraine - including:

19m tonnes of proven reserves of graphite, which is used to make batteries for electric vehicles"

Wonder if Trump might know someone who could make use of that?

"Trump on what US minerals deal gives Ukraine - 'Military equipment and the right to fight on'"

This was never about peace...US taking advantage of some new contracts for their weapons industries (and getting to palm off their old, obsolete miltary equipment...to be replaced by more up to date weaponry - more new contracts)

The richest 3 men in the US have the same amount of wealth as the poorest 170m people in the country. If you dug deep enough, most of the time these things came back to how someone can make a few quid - difference now is that these people are so powerful (not just through wealth, but controlling popular and social media) it's being done with government backing - and all out in the open.

It will benefit the dictators and stains of humanity like trump. In America’s case, very rich people in the club like Musk. If the average American thinks ravaging state structures and hurling 1000s out of work, America First will benefit them, dream on.

The dollars accrued from that, extortionate tariffs, robbery from other countries won’t touch them. What will is inflation and destruction of what few services America has.

Oh well, it’s what they want. They voted for him and worship him, baseball cap, Musk + ugly kid (to humanise him) n all.

Ahhh, postcards. While I dreaded completing and sending them (same old rubbish on the back) I kind of miss them. My favourite was one of a cactus the perfect shape of a body part I sent to my mother. She loved it and had it on their mantelpiece for months, much to my dads displeasure.

What a wonderful man Trump is. A true statesman.

Says he is going to sort out a war, and the first thing he gets stuck into is how to make a profit from it.

The first casualty of war is the truth.

Have you seen the AI video Trump shared of ‘future Gaza’, truly terrifying and dystopian stuff!

I am certain we are also doing it for financial reasons and not for love of Ukraine. It is not a coincidence that Zelensky is meeting with Trump on Friday. Low and behold Starmer is also in town to meet him. We will get favourable contracts once the war is over. Deal is already done.

So perhaps stock up on your cryptocurrency asap as that market will rise on Friday.

The annoying thing is there will be some truth in him sorting it out. That he’s metaphorically raped and pillaged to get there won’t bother his supporters one bit.

We are not doing it for financial reasons and will only get a proportion of the money and time spent back, if anything. Bit like the Iraq war where the US got all the contracts when it ended and the U.K. got a bill, monetary and human cost.

We were involved with this to keep Putin’s aggression as far away as possible (bar threats, air and sea incursions, cable rip ups, cyber interference and the odd murder and poisoning). There was also a right and proper element in this where post WW2 aggression and empire building were by western countries seen as a cause of war not a solution and to be avoided. Trump has changed all that.

Starmer’s visit will hopefully and at best go quietly and enable KS to sing the same tune as Macron. But it carries the risk of Trump trying to belittle and bully him publicly. Having pillaged Ukraine and shared the booty with his best mate Vlad, the orange one will be full of wind and confidence.

The science/horror/fantasy fiction of our worst nightmares is becoming reality.

Sauron got voted in and is dedicating himself to assisting Smaug, while Shelob extends his tentacles to scoop more innocents into the web.

Needs Frodo & all his brethren other little Hobbits to rise up & defeat the amassed power of the dark overlords.

Rise up, power to the little people!

Well, thank goodness that those 3 richest men are fighting the 'deepstate' on our behalf.

I watched a vlog last night, about Palm Beach FL. On the island, known as Palm Beach there are over 50 billionaires and the rest of the population is multi millionaires. A couple of miles away, in West Palm Beach, there is some of the most deprived areas anywhere in the US.
Obviously some locals make a living by serving these rich neighbours, but the majority don't and the contrast in the state of the infrastructure, either side of a bridge, is shocking.

the deal has come to the signing stage very quickly. There has been little scutiny or due-diligence. All it shows is a strong US position and a weak Ukrainian one. Trump is a known tough negotiator, they really need to negotiate hard, not seemingly roll over with little or no security provisions. Trump tends to come in with the most hard ball, top dollar position and negotiates down if necessary. Just seems too early to be signing anything off from a Ukrainian p.o.v.
