Yes the gap between the two divisions is huge, but we just haven't seen these performances enough over the course of the season.

I think it's a mixture of things - a half-decent Town performance, coupled with an opposition who may have thought turning up would be enough.

1) We've been in this situation plenty this season. Hasn't typically ended in three points.

2) Chelsea have been woefully inefficient and by far the better side. First goal changes games.

3) There is a loooong way to go.

Did Chelsea play in Europe on Thursday?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

I’m not frustrated - I’m just enjoying the performance we are seeing which gives great confidence going forward. Try and enjoy it, you’ll like it I think.

I don’t actually think we’re playing very well. Chelsea should be out of sight. We’ve played much better and lost. So im not frustrated, just delighted to be winning.

Bizarre game so far, great scoreline but we've struggled to string 2 passes together and keep the ball for more than 5 seconds. Chelsea have been in some great positions but look like they're playing their first pre-season friendly.

Would be great for us to get a win but, IMHO, from a footballing point of view it's been a poor game so far.

It has the feel of an FA Cup match, where the lower league team are winning.

it just underlines the old adage: you've GOT to take your chances when they come. We did that, and we reap the rewards. It's all too late, but we must enjoy it, and enjoy the promise that it brings. We'll lose Cajuste and Enciso (and maybe Burgess), but should be able to keep the others...

We can't read too much in to it.

Personally I don't think we've played that well. Could barely make 2 passes at stages.

However, unlikely must other games, we've taken our chances (and Chelsea havent)

The negative train has arrived earlier than expected.

You’ll have to wait a while for others to get onboard.

It might have, if it wasn’t for the fact that Chelsea are playing a full strength team.

Let’s not take anything away from that first half - Chelsea may have been wasteful, but we’ve created a couple of good chances and taken them. An example of small margins between getting a result and not.

We still need to turn up second half though.

A long way to go, and if there’s one thing we’ve not been this season it’s resilient. I really wish we’d dug in, put everyone behind the ball, and sh1thoused in these games we’ve gone ahead. Wouldn’t be pretty, but something to build on…

And there we go…

Even if we had hung on to half of the points we have surrendered from leading, we would be level with Wolves and West Ham wouldn't we?

I think I read, if games finished at half time, we'd be something like 14th. Our first halves in general haven't been the issue this season.
