I thought the ref did us a big favour by disallowing their goal. Palmer wasn't fouled. I'd take that over a dodgy first yellow from Johnson. Just an idiotic second yellow... that's on us and not rub of the green. | | | |

That was a justified yellow, imo. The issue there was that the Bournemouth player should also have had a second yellow and that's what vexed people. There's a lot of inconsistency but we've mainly only experienced rank bad officiating from both refs and VAR. | |

First yellow is rarely given and I reckon the ref has been emboldened by Johnson's status as a lesser player in a much inferior team. That said, he was very kind to Palmer and didn't give the penalty that VAR has inconclusively overturned, so I wouldn't accuse the man of rampant bias.

It comes with teams that are defending a lot and are not good enough. When a season doesn't go well, big decisions tend to go against you too.
I think it is a combination of these things but this season isn't getting any better. | |

Not sure myself. The backing in was done way before the ball was within reach for a header/catch.
I've seen Daryl Murphy score a similar goal, but his was a shoulder to shoulder challenge, when the keeper had his arms up for the catch and the ball was won fairly by Daryl's head. | |
