Good indicator of the task ahead, both made play offs last season.

Scott Twine on the score sheet - makes me feel slightly nostalgic for the days when he was the outer limit of our new signing ambitions.

And another great finish for Brizzle.

This season is not going to be easy

The amount of space given / lack of press by both sides is certainly making a more entertaining fare than last night.

Shows that there are no easy matches in the Championship. Hopefully a sign that Sheffield United won't rival us but can't judge it on one match at all.

Quite a drop-off from being in the top two for Sheff Utd.

Strange opening weekend.

Other than Wrexham for 70 mins today nobody has really stood out. Albeit I thought the fact Brum kept up their intensity for pretty much the full 90 last night was quite impressive.

Opening games mean nothing and always throw up very odd scores. They are not indicative of how the season will pan out.

"Mean nothing" is an exageration. They count but there is a very long way to go.

Well that’s not true is it.

First game last time out in champ we put in a v solid win away at Sunderland.

Granted, not always a barometer of the season but they don’t mean “nothing”.

I seem to recall that we were outplayed for quite a bit of that game, and very lucky to win.

I think reading their fans comments he was a boring manager with boring tactics , they’re now unshackled from that it seems .
Norwich have a problem Houston ……already lol.
