Consistency 22:20 - Mar 10 with 696 viewsbsw72

Azon gets a pull on him and goes down, no free kick, Stoke break and score.

Similar challenge on a Stoke player in our box, penalty awarded and another Stoke goal.

Two inconsistent decisions have cost us two goals.

Make it make sense.

Neither were fouls. The Azon one was given correctly, but the Kipre one incorrectly.

Azon is the weakest footballer I’ve ever seen (jack Clarke aside). He needs to learn how to play in England, and draw fouls and lay the ball off. Painfully weak.

That said, it was 10000% a foul on him for their first goal.

Azon falls down cheaply all the time. Refs will know that so he and we can’t really complain.

The penalty was soft, especially compared to what happened on Saturday but it is what it is. Do your job properly and these things won’t matter. We didn’t do that - a common theme for this season, especially away.

“Do your job properly” applies to match officials as well surely?

Technically the Azon one was not given, correctly

What is it that they say, "control the controllables"? We didn't do that well enough tonight, as McKenna acknowledged.

Of the four goals we’ve conceded this week I think three are directly attributable to bad refereeing decisions. All four are also directly caused by quite terrible defending to compound those errors but it takes a lot of evening up to find those four points again this late in the season (especially when you consider the decisions not given our way at the other end).

Exactly. We had a poor first half, and rectified that with our second half, only for it to be taken away by a ref not doing their job properly for the second time in a few days.

Azon had a chance rolled it at the keeper like a back pass.

I’m sick of Azon going down so easily. He spends more time on the floor than on his feet.
