| What to do for Southampton? 15:31 - Apr 25 with 5292 views | GlasgowBlue | A point really doesn't help us, unless Millwall lose or draw against against Oxford and we lose against QPR. A loss still means we need to beat QPR to make certain. Do we go all out for the win or rest everyone so we are fresh for QPR? | |

| What to do for Southampton? on 15:33 - Apr 25 with 3519 views | 2-5-7 | Go for the win like every other game this season Might work. Might not. But so far just about winning that game of chance | | | |
| What to do for Southampton? on 15:34 - Apr 25 with 3489 views | Nthsuffolkblue | A point stops Southampton catching us. They are win or bust so will play open football unless they are ahead. I fancy we need to be solid and try to get a win. Then QPR is the one that doesn't matter and I would much prefer it that way. | |

| What to do for Southampton? on 15:38 - Apr 25 with 3459 views | wkj | I think it is important to go for the win against Southampton and not play for the draw. We have to get it right at the back though. Probably play heavy up the wings, possibly with a bit of time for Burns toward the end if there is blood in the water on that flank. Either way, we need to do something different, because the way we set up today wasn't the special sauce at all. | |

But we looked absolutely knackered at the end. Have our best team got a game winning performance in them in just three days time r are we better resting them for QPR?

This sets us up for counter attacking football, so if we set up well on the wings, we could absolutely get something in this game.

| What to do for Southampton? on 15:41 - Apr 25 with 3406 views | Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior | It’s a nice position really because we don’t have to get a point to keep it our hands going into the last day. The only thing you have to keep in mind is QPR after we have played god knows how many mid week games in a row, so we need some energy for that from somewhere. | |

| What to do for Southampton? on 15:41 - Apr 25 with 3403 views | J2BLUE | We go all out for the win. They need to win and hopefully will be just as tired. A draw wouldn't be great but would be a little extra insurance just in case Oxford could get a point at Millwall. | | | |
| What to do for Southampton? on 15:49 - Apr 25 with 3333 views | southnorfolkblue | It’s a free hit. Southampton know they are unlikely to catch us and they’re coming off the back of what will be a hugely draining experience today, so I wouldn’t be making too many changes. The front 4 will be rotated and I could see Neill getting a start. Davis starts if fit | |

Having Davis back would be a bonus for sure. But I don’t know what on earth to do. Part of me wants to rest anyone in the “red zone” before QPR. There will be plenty running on fumes. But will Saints be able to reset after a Cup semi and give it everything in what is probably a forlorn hope to make the top two? Glad I’m not a manager.

KM referenced players coming in for Tuesday, having to do a job, so let’s hope for Davis back, with probably a different front 4, possibly Neil in for Taylor, otherwise I expect we’ll set up to be solid, and look to expose them on the break. While a draw will do, I think we’ll try and win, but not be too dismayed with a point.

It helps protect us from a couple of edge cases, but arguably not worth the huge draining effort it's going to take.
| What to do for Southampton? on 16:04 - Apr 25 with 3119 views | C_Jam_Blue | I think KM will be pretty conservative. The nightmare scenario is to lose 2 or 3 nil and have saints level on goal difference and Boro only two behind. | | | |
| What to do for Southampton? on 16:06 - Apr 25 with 3092 views | jas0999 | Nothing to lose. As you say, a point doesn’t really help. Millwall will beat Oxford you would think. Go to Southampton and attack attack attack. If we win it takes all the pressure off. Of course, we will need to score goals and need better than Azon. His finishing has been really poor. | | | |
| What to do for Southampton? on 16:06 - Apr 25 with 3091 views | boysof1981 | Southampton will have to come for us, if they beat us 3-0 which isn’t impossible they’ll be ahead on goals scored. That’ll mean they match our result next Saturday lunch time it’ll be them going up. Hopefully we’ll get the 3pts which will take us up unless there’s a massive 17 goal swing between us and Millwall | | | |

Johnson for Burns and that would be my team

They are four points behind. I did have the scenario during last nights match if Millwall lost and we lost today and on Tuesday, Saturday would be a goal difference competition. [Post edited 25 Apr 16:09]

Isn’t Davis out for the season, sure I’ve read it somewhere today?

Play our most solid defence. He hasn't changed it much most of the season anyway. I suspect Johnson (or Davis) in at left back with Greaves moving over so Kipre drops to the bench (I think Kipre is used for teams with greater aerial threat). Philogene probably starts as he rotates him and Clarke. Nunez in for Mehmeti although both look lacking in energy. Matusiwa and Taylor play because we need them. I don't think we can assume we will beat QPR. It puts extra pressure on us to do so if we rely on it.
