Burley hasn't got a statue...think a manager has to win a trophy to earn a statue...

Although he did save us and make us fall in love all over again. However I think you can say Burley did the same, but it wasn't from League One....

As much as I appreciate everything he's done and I'm gutted he's gone, I don't think he's done enough to get the statue. Maybe if he'd stayed longer and won something, but he's not on Sir Bobby or Sir Alf's level, so I don't think he gets a stand or statue.

And Burley didn't have financial strength like KM had from Gamechanger and their fellow investors to work with in fact no Manager in our history has with the brief exception of Cook who was a left over from the previous regime anyway.

Never forget that on 7th. April 2021, for ITFC, the Game Changed.

Still think we should install a water fountain in the fanzone, around it can be engravings of other town greats, burley, mckenna, stewart, wark, etc etc etc

Mick Mills’ or John Wark’s

I’m not doing KM down here, but there are plenty of people that should be ‘statued’ before KM. Not least a long since forgotten Adam Scott Mathieson Duncan without whom we might not even have a professional football club.

But to the main point, thank you Mr McKenna. Your football was sublime and your part in recovering this club from the depths will never diminish or be forgotten.

We did not have financial strength in the Championship, in which season he practically performed a miracle.

I think the right two have statues at the moment and George probably deserves one considering his service as Manager and player but certainly a case for a few bronze busts around the place.

Yeah, but how do you get a statue to say "All credit to the lads"?

Given his many years of coaching experience and his route to Ipswich, very apt
