If GON’s name was Marco Matruzzi, would the forum consider him an exciting appointment? [Actually think about your own biases, honestly I suspect I would be more ‘excited’. Gary is only secondary to Paul in the most boring name league].
Seen managers with much much worse records but with foreign names, get much less stick on here. That German guy yesterday had a terrible record for example!
GON’s record is genuinely really very good when you consider how hard it is to stay up in the prem.
Seems a risky appointment to me tbh, former Norwich player will have absolutely no credit in the bank and with a tough startI can only imagine how toxic things can quickly become. Not sure what I was hoping for ,but this seems a dull option.

The former Norwich thing really shouldn't be a factor.
It's creating an issue for the sake of it. It's utterly meaningless.
I remember watching him on Sky's manager masterclass thingy with other Gary or Jamie, couple of years ago now probably, and he impressed plenty that evening. Thoughtful insight + well communicated. Go On Gary! (GOGON)
When he kept bournemouth up it was 36 points With wolves they were established and he took them to the brink of relegation
But he did sign some good players in the jan window with bournemouth and cunha for wolves
This window will be incredibly important
I love a good window, me. I find it gives me the opportunity to see outdoors from inside the house 😉. Joking aside, we’re going to need a more pragmatic approach than our last Premier League outing. I’m hoping that the signings in the coming weeks will give us more physicality, top level experience and a smattering of young up and coming talent. O’Neil I would imagine will still have his finger on the pulse regarding this despite managing in France lately. Like you, not sure he’s the answer but guess we’ll find out soon enough and hey ho, let’s at least get behind him and give the guy a chance.
We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub.
Fans turned on Lambert because he took us down, wasn't very good thereafter and finally went rather odd in his attitude to fans and the media.

Plus Lambert had left a trail of disaster behind him at other clubs (post Norwich) before joining us. Football had left him behind so why we thought he was a decent appointment... perhaps he's the only one who wanted the job.
