Nonsense. Even a defeat wouldn't be the end of the world. It would show us where we still need to strengthen before the window closes.

Nothing in the first month is a must not lose.. After the international break, that's the key period imo.

Yes, but equally the home form is so important, would I take a draw now? probably but do I want a win absolutely.
A loss backed up with likely defeats to Utd/Liverpool will likely see us bottom of the pile after 3 games which puts us in a poor place before Hull and Fulham games in September.
Equally we cannot wait until November to get a win and expect to stay up , likewise winning one game at home.
You are entitled to your opinions but I think getting something today is a must for belief from fans, players, manager etc.

Lose today and we likely go into September with 0 points and bottom of league. Sunderland I believe won half of their first 10 games? This is why they stayed up along with beating the teams near the bottom. I'm happy with 4th bottom which means 4 points a month on average.

That is the message we have been issued from the clubs higher ups so to do that we need to win winnable football matches.
