Whight Offered Deal Wednesday, 6th Apr 2011 09:21
TWTD understands that first-year academy scholar Joe Whight has been offered a professional deal by the Blues. Whight, a former Copleston High School pupil, has been with the club since he was 12.
The 17-year-old plays mainly at left-back but can also operate in midfield and at the centre of the defence.
This season Whight has been a regular in the U18s and has also broken into the reserves.

Nice to see other schools pulling their weight in producing the Town's stars. Nacton heath appear to have produced the lions share up until now....

Well done Joe. Good too finally see an ex-coplestonian get a professional contract at ITFC. Ibelieve the last was Darren Oxbrow in the 80's? Much laughter remembering Mr Little telling us all to "get in the gym and sit daaaaarn"! All a long time ago now though
