Carson, Hyam and Murphy Back for Blues
Saturday, 27th Oct 2012 14:40

Town caretaker-boss Chris Hutchings has made three changes for his first and possibly only game in charge of the Blues. Josh Carson, Luke Hyam and Daryl Murphy return to the side with Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Nigel Reo-Coker and Andy Drury dropping to the bench.

Hutchings could look to continue with the Blues’ regular 4-2-3-1 formation with Martin behind DJ Campbell with Lee Martin in behind with Josh Carson and Daryl Murphy wide, or alternatively Murphy could be up front with Campbell in a 4-4-2 with Martin on one of the flanks. Full match preview here.

Town: Henderson, Edwards, Chambers, Higginbotham, Cresswell, Carson, Wellens, Hyam, Martin, Murphy, Campbell. Subs: Loach, Smith, Drury, Mohnsi, Reo-Coker, Emmanuel-Thomas, Chopra.

Sheffield Wednesday: Kirkland, Jones, Buxton, Gardner, Semedo, Antonio, O’Grady, Corry, Bothroyd, Barkley, Llera. Subs: Davies, Taylor, Madine, Johnson, Mattock, Rodri, Pecnik.

Hope Hutchins get the right result - 3 points - as I think it will be his last game at Portman Road and it would be a nice send off for a very good coach.

3-1 Town. Carson, Chambers, Martin

Really pleased to see Hyam back. Carson needs to take his chance this time. But its good to see the youth back in. What I don't understand is, Hutchings was PJs assistant, and so surely advised him? Why did Jewell continue to leave them out?

Different tactic surely. In our last five matches we've led and not won a single game. Let's try going behind and see if that goes better.....

Looking at the other scores we are being cast adrift and to think some think that Jewell deserverd more time sad times indeed. I Think its time to prepare for the third tier of English football. So much for the Wednesday night team building, better keep quiet now or i'l be called a moaner.

The list of potential managers should be narrowed down a bit after this shambles , i cant see anyone worth their salt wanting anything to do with this lot

Woeful and we WILL go down. I know there are monthes to go but we are in a rut of such deep proportions we cant get out of. I cant for the life of me seeing a manager whomever it was turning this around this season. Half the squad wont be here next season and the other half wishes they wont be. Bleak times :-/

I sort of expected this result and possibly predict a 4-0/ 4-1 loss to Leicester; but when a new manager comes in, if we nick a win and get some hungry low league signings (this is where Mick McCarthy will fit in) we'll climb the table- Although it's tempting to accept relegation as fans right now, whoever comes we MUST support and get behind the team, the 12th man is going to be essential in this battle
