Chambers, Skuse and Bialkowski Return Against Blackburn
Saturday, 14th Jan 2017 14:27

Town have made three changes for this afternoon’s home game against Blackburn with skipper Luke Chambers, Cole Skuse and Bartosz Bialkowski returning to the team.

The Blues look set to line-up in a 3-5-2 system with Skuse, Kevin Bru and Andre Dozzell in central midfield, Josh Emmanuel and Jonas Knudsen the wing-backs and Tom Lawrence up front probably playing slightly behind Freddie Sears.

England U18 international striker Ben Morris and left-back Pat Webber are again included on the bench.

Town: Bialkowski, Emmanuel, Chambers (c), Webster, Berra, Knudsen, Skuse, Bru, Dozzell, Sears, Lawrence. Subs: Gerken, Best, Digby, Ward, Douglas, Morris, Webber.

Blackburn Rovers: Steele, Williams, Lowe (c), Feeney, Marshall, Graham, Mulgrew, Gallagher, Akpan, Lenihan, Bennett. Subs: Raya, Greer, Emnes, Nyame, Tomlinson, Mahoney, Brown. Referee: James Linington (Newport IoW).

Like the look of that, need the ball at the feet of Sears and Lawrence. Plenty of intent.

Mick wont be able to resist putting Douglas on at some point, unless he the penny has finally dropped .Just hope Freddie can get back in the groove .

If we are winning then there's nothing wrong with bringing on Douglas for Bru/Dozzell to tighten up at the back.

It's good to see Mick being flexible with the formation, hopefully the players can try to play football now as there is no point hoofing it with Sears and Lawrence up front at all!

Looks like 4411 to me hope Sears is not chasing long balls needs it to feet and needs support as usual unbalanced back 4 and no width as is our problem for years, hoping rather than expecting today but saturdays are like that for must of us these days.
