Dozzell Switched to England U19s Squad for Euros Monday, 22nd May 2017 09:24 Town midfielder Andre Dozzell has been withdrawn from the England U20s squad playing at the Toulon Tournament and has instead been called into the U19s party travelling to Georgia for July’s European Championships. The Young Lions will take on Bulgaria in their opening group game on Monday 3rd July, Holland on Thursday 6th July and Germany on Sunday 9th July with all the matches taking place in Tbilisi. The final game will be shown live by Eurosport. Dozzell, who signed a new contract running to the summer of 2020 when he turned 18 earlier this month, is yet to win an U19 cap. The former Copleston High School pupil won nine caps with the England U18s during 2016/17, having been a regular and occasional captain of the U17s a year earlier. The call-up will mean Dozzell will miss the start of pre-season training with the Blues with the squad due back at Playford Road on June 26th. Town midfielder Tristan Nydam and striker Ben Morris, both 17, are on standby for the U20s ahead of the Toulon Tournament.
