Blues and Brewers Linked With Cardiff Winger Noone
Monday, 7th Aug 2017 09:32

Town and Burton Albion are reportedly considering making a move for £500,000-rated Cardiff winger Craig Noone.

According to the Daily Mirror the Blues are keen to battle the Brewers for the 29-year-old, who has been told he can move on by the Bluebirds.

Kirkby-born Noone started his career in non-league with Skelmersdale United, Burscough and Southport before joining Plymouth Argyle for £110,000 in the summer of 2008.

The 5ft 10in tall wideman spent time on loan at Exeter while a Pilgrims player before moving on to Brighton for £300,000 in January 2011 and then Cardiff for £1 million 18 months later.

While with the Welshmen Noone, who has a year left on his contract, has made 119 starts and 51 sub appearances, scoring 19 goals.

The Blues are in the market for another winger with Leicester youngster Harvey Barnes, who is available for loan, understood to be on their radar.

Would be happy with this. Would rather have him then the young lad on loan. When we keep signing wingers on loan, it just means we're in the same position every summer of having to buy another one.

£500,000 in this day and age for a player of this quality is outstanding value. Would be very happy to get this done.

Remember him tearing Man City apart and I think getting two goals against them when Cardiff had their year in the prem. I'd take him if he's going that cheap

Cardiff must be good if losing Adeyemi, Huws and Noone improves them ! Bet they would love to embarrass Cardiff at their place at back end of October.

Kenneth Zohore in form at Cardiff keeping their other forwards out. We'll keep Zohore quiet when we meet next

Would be a good signing for £500k. Looks like Evans is doing his bit in backing McCarthy this season so fair play to him.

Would rather Noone who is proven at this level and a permanent signing to the kid from Leicester who has never played at this level before

Another good signing. Pacey, tricky, tough competitor. Brenna Wooley likes this guy from memory.
Get the deal done, Town.

He is a very good wide player and should fit in well with our style of play.Lets hope the rummers are true as £500k is a snip.
