Generation Snowflake 14:56 - Feb 10 with 5271 viewsMaySixth

heard this at the weekend for the first time and totally get it :

Generation Snowflake, or Snowflake Generation, is a term used to characterise young adults of the 2010s as being more prone to taking offence and less resilient than previous generations, or too emotionally vulnerable to cope with views that challenge their own.

There is a generation that have grown up pampered in reality - but the worst thing is they are also the generation who have been hit hardest by how the world has gone.

Go to school, work hard, get good grades, get a degree - and then there are no jobs, and even if you get one you can't afford to buy a house.

They are then told by their elders that hard work pays which ignores the fact that they are the ones taking the opportunities and huge amounts of luck is involved.

They've obviously got scurvy, otherwise they wouldn't be taking vitamin C supplements.

It is no longer acceptable to call people "a bit gay" anymore. Which is fair enough.
This is the new word for it.

The last troops to fight in WW2 would have been born in 1927, they are now 89/90 and that's the ones who just made it into the forces right at the end.

It really is time to get over this 'they fought in the war stuff' now.
