Loose arrangement with Democratic Unionists.

May we live in interesting times.

Providing Corbyn can restrain himself from an immediate vote of no confidence he should be able to frustrate May sufficiently to force her to call another election without coping the blame.

Let's hope that takes long enough for some better alternative to appear.

You missed "in" off the front of "credible".

Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.

I think Corbyn is more credible than the people he surrounds himself with. That's his biggest problem

I'm not necessarily hoping for any change in Labour leadership, more of a forlorn hope of some centre social democratic party that sets a higher safety net than the Lib Dems, is better on the environment than Labour and does not see culture and citizenship as the either/or dilemma that the Tories and UKIP are slaves to (and also an administration that comes down like a ton of bricks on religions that seek to curb the rights of individuals). I think this would have a broad appeal but it would need defections from all parties on an unprecedented scale.

Presumably, if the Queen says no dice then the car stays at the Palace and Theresa has to go home on the bus...

Youngsters voting for him because of promises he could never keep doesn't really count.

I won't ever vote Labour with Corbyn at the helm.

That said I'm not keen on May.

I dunno.

Is it possible that when May asks the Queen if she can form a government the Queen could say no?

Simply, no.

It could all fall down if May doesn't get support for her Queen's speech in Parliament, but then Corbyn would then need to do the same.

And he and McDonnell have refused this morning to do deals with, or form coalitions with anyone else. So Corbyn would have to form his Government with 261 MPs and hope 319 Tory MPs didn't vote it down.

I honestly do not think that will happen. I would be astounded if the Queen rejected May's proposal- yet very very pleased if she does.

This would nearly match the story line of that sill Charless 3rd play on telly recently. For its worth, they made the result of him (her) saying no, a full blown constitutional crisis

The reason i would be happy is I would like so dearly for FPTP voting to be abolished and the fact this is the second (and possibly most nasty) hung parliament in 3 elections might be the catalyst we need for significant voting reform
