I've got an English Springer Spaniel called Lucy who's sat on the sofa snoring next to me.
We had one before called Bramble when Titus played for town.

Old English Sheepdog , which apparently were originally from Poland or Russia. Trust me they all don't look like they do on the tin. Wonderful good natured dogs.

He's called Alf, after Sir Alf.

Hate dogs. Barking, threatening and crapping everywhere.

Golden retriever. Wonderful dog. Mine is Ellie, comes to work with me, love her to bits.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

How ridiculously dog-ist. Judge by the individual, not the entire species (or their owners).

My dog's perfectly quiet, unless strangers come to the house, then he always gives me a useful warning (particularly useful for delivery drivers who can't be a'd to knock or ring the bell).

He's never threatened anyone in his life.

He doesn't crap "everywhere", & if he does whilst we're out, I *always* scoop it & get rid in appropriate place.

He's an Italian Spinone*, best breed in the world - great family dogs, kind temperament (I know of none that have ever bitten a human in the UK), loving, loyal. Require decent amount of exercise and grooming.

*Same was true of his predecessor, R.I.P. - same breed.

Schnauzers.

Love how they always look like they're frowning and completely pissed off with the world.

Have always had girl dogs, although the next one might be called Didz...

He doesn't mean it - he's trolling.

Bully likes a row, and if he meant it, he'd be waiting around for the responses!

I have always preferred larger dogs and we have had labradors in the past.

Son has a cocker spaniel called Freddie and he is beautiful, obedient, friendly dog so I have changed my mind about big dogs!

I have the most anti-social dog in the world. She's not threatening or friendly, just completely indifferent to any dog or person, just ignores everybody. I take her out with my g/f and her dog (who she has no interaction with whatsover, the dog I mean, she likes my g/f), when we go out in the field and there's a few other dogs about and they all have a great time running about together, apart from Lucy who just stands about looking awkward.
It's almost as if she's doesn't realise she's a dog.

I used to live in an isolated house in a remote place, and when showing potential tenants round the upstairs flat for the first time, I always took my dog on a lead with us. If he (normally very confident and friendly) didn't like somebody, or was afraid of them, I took serious note. If he liked them, they were good contenders. He was never wrong.

I have two border collies, Finn is black and white, Taff red and white. I've always had collies, they are wonderful breed, very smart, they need mental stimulation and not a good choice if you are out at work all day.

Early conditioning plays such a huge part, I guess some are just like that esp if hand-reared/bottle-fed as a pup for whatever reason.

My old man did a private building job on Monday at the place we got her from, her Mum's still knocking about at 16, blind and half deaf (Lucy will be 11 next Sunday) and one of her brothers is still about and they're both the same.

That does kind of reinforce the conditioning theory. What breed are they? or Heinz 57?!
