The best 4 album run ever on 20:19 - Apr 12 by Lord_Lucan
There must be something not wired up properly in my brain as I just don't get Michael Jackson or Prince - at all
George Michael. Where do I start?
Didn't mind a bit of Wham in an "I'm here at the time" sort of thing but ignored George when he went solo. Then I heard the single Faith and really liked it - however I continued to ignore him as I thought he was a massive knob.
When he died I soon realised I couldn't have been more wrong about a person, the bloke was a bloody superstar and all round fantastic egg.
When I recently watched a documentary on him I realised that actually I had missed out on him big time.
RIP George - and ya big J
What a talented bloke he was. Very true what you say about him he's sorely missed.

That's because Cure for Sanity is really very average..the other three on the other hand pretty much define my sixth form years...although I'm not so sure they've aged that well.
I disagree. Some cracking tunes on there;
"Dance of the Mad Bstards" "88 Seconds... & Still Counting" "X Y & Zee" "1000x NO!" "Nightmare at 20,000 ft" "Very Metal Noise Pollution"
And possibly my favourite poppies track; "92°F (The 3rd Degree)"

He's wrong though. Obviously, the correct answer is #26,27, 28 and 29 (I've no idea!).
Believe it or not I have all Now albums from 1-99 plus assorted special editions. Don’t think I’ve played one of them since Now77 but seems a shame to stop getting them.

Ditto with Slayer. First four albums brilliant, the rest b0llocks.
I'm going with The Fall.
Grotesque Slates (It's an EP, I know but one of my favourite records ever) Hex Enduction Hour Room to Live
And Kraftwerk
Autobahn Radioactivity Trans-Europe Express Man Machine
Four 10/10 records from Kraftwerk, I make that.
I wasn't a massive Slayer fan, but yeah again I preferred their earlier stuff.
Also on that theme, and from my prog rock phase, you'd have to go a long, long way to beat Marillion's first 4 offerings too (but obviously a marmite band). I still find it a real emotional roller coaster of a ride listening to any of these.
Script for a Jester's Tear Fugazi (up there with my favourite albums of all time) Misplaced Childhood Clutching at Straws
More great first 4 albums from mainstream metal world from Maiden: Iron Maiden Killers Number of the Beast Piece of Mind

Clutching at Straws is a brilliant album. Fish’ lyrics on That Time of the Night are a real cry for help.

That has the Stones Undercover of the Night and Bowie's Modern Love on it I think.
The first seven were vinyl only and they only started making them on CD from Now 8 onward.
It's something to leave the boy. Along with my complete run of Marvel comics from 1962 onward including Amazing Spider-man, Avengers, Daredevil and X-men.

I biught from the first one, gate sleeved vinyl if I remember correctly through to the mid 40's (them not me) and then stopped. I did rebuy the first one a few years ago when they did a CD reissue.
Most of my vinyl (well over 4000 discs) went when I divorced and moved into rented accomodation for a while.
No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

That is quite possibly the strangest thing I’ve read on here . You’re obviously a bit of a collector then?
Edit ignore that, obviously a hoarder with those comics too. Best i can manage is about 5 carrier bags of Roy of The Rovers from about 1979 to 1984 (ish).
