The best 4 album run ever on 20:08 - Apr 12 with 6362 views | Coastalblue | Personally I would probably go with the Bowie run as well, for all it's imperfections I love Aladin Sane, in fact they make it what it is in many ways. I'll offer some non cool options. Off The Wall Thriller Bad Dangerous. If you were talking a run of three I think the first three there match anybody, although I realise it's subjective and not to everybody's tastes. and as an even less cool option, if you could lose Songs From The Last Century as a covers album, then I think George Michael's other four studio albums stand up there and show a great progression. I love Prince, the other half is a mega fan, but agree with GB there's always a bit of a lapse in any run you consider, surrounded by classics.

There must be something not wired up properly in my brain as I just don't get Michael Jackson or Prince - at all George Michael. Where do I start? Didn't mind a bit of Wham in an "I'm here at the time" sort of thing but ignored George when he went solo. Then I heard the single Faith and really liked it - however I continued to ignore him as I thought he was a massive knob. When he died I soon realised I couldn't have been more wrong about a person, the bloke was a bloody superstar and all round fantastic egg. When I recently watched a documentary on him I realised that actually I had missed out on him big time. RIP George - and ya big J

You're virtually the same age as me, so I think GM is one of those people that were just wrong most of the time for our age group, I always considered him to be a bit of a guilty pleasure and would never announced I was listening to his stuff. I think a lot of people would just think of him as first a teeny pop star, and then a middle class dinner party type artist.

Your Paul Simon suggestion: You can add "Songbook", "Paul Simon" and "There Goes Rhymin' Simon" to the front of that list. All excellent offerings.

Ditto with Slayer. First four albums brilliant, the rest b0llocks. I'm going with The Fall. Grotesque Slates (It's an EP, I know but one of my favourite records ever) Hex Enduction Hour Room to Live And Kraftwerk Autobahn Radioactivity Trans-Europe Express Man Machine Four 10/10 records from Kraftwerk, I make that.

The best 4 album run ever on 22:53 - Apr 12 with 6223 views | Oxford_Blue | Dylan’s three masterpieces in something like 18 months were simply phenomenal, ground breaking and hugely influential in a way that changed popular music. To put it in perspective, when Lennon heard Subterranean Homesick Blues (on one of the albums below) he said he could never write anything as good. The albums are of course : Bringing it all back home Highway 61 Revisisted Blonde on Blonde No one has created anything remotely approaching the depth and poetry and scope since.

You are if course 100% correct. Greatest band of all time... back in the 80s everyone had respect for them whether goths, punks or phychobilly’s (back when music was a thing) The other bands that had similar status back then were The Cramps and to a lesser extent the Fall

That's because Cure for Sanity is really very average..the other three on the other hand pretty much define my sixth form years...although I'm not so sure they've aged that well.
