Personally I would probably go with the Bowie run as well, for all it's imperfections I love Aladin Sane, in fact they make it what it is in many ways.

You're virtually the same age as me, so I think GM is one of those people that were just wrong most of the time for our age group, I always considered him to be a bit of a guilty pleasure and would never announced I was listening to his stuff.
I think a lot of people would just think of him as first a teeny pop star, and then a middle class dinner party type artist. | |

Dylan’s three masterpieces in something like 18 months were simply phenomenal, ground breaking and hugely influential in a way that changed popular music.
