The top end of the pitch is so much stronger than what we have now. To escape trouble you need to win games, to do that, you have to score goals and there late the challenge PL has. I believe he'll have our defence sorted fairly sharpish.
Experience is lacking as well, especially if rumours of Skuse being out a while are true. | |

True - though we only got 7 goals out of Murph that season, while such as Chambers and Cresswell were not yet the players they would become. | |

That's interesting! I'd always say the team back then was stronger in just about every way, especially up front.
If we get relegated it will be because we don;t score enough goals. Can't see the current strikers getting enough this season, so I just hope that Lambert can pull a rabbit out of the bag in January. I'd blow the whole budget on one good striker - the rest of the team will be OK if organised properly. |  |
