So no power sockets.. 11:06 - Jan 26 with 24350 viewsFarmerpiles

In the away dressing room. PL prior to the game had all the power sockets removed so the away team cant play music or charge their election items according to Stuart Watson. Be a few egos throwing their toys out the pram cos they cant blow dry their outstanding hairstyles amongst other things. I'd go full on John Beck from the 80's who turned the heating, hot water etc off at Cambridge utd

If this was Norwich doing this, we would rightfully be taking the royal piss. This is where we're at now, getting all excited because we're pulling tin-pot stuff like this.

It was also one of the first things Lambert did at Norwich.

When I was a child at Elmswell Primary we used to go swimming at some farm owned outdoor swimming pool and we had to get changed in a barn.

However, I wouldn't expect an Olympic swimming team to have to do the same just because I had to as a kid!

I knew that fella.

I thought it funny anyway.

It was how it panned out in my head.

From most of the comments on here you would think doing things to upset the away team were a new concept!

Do you want to charge (excuse the pun) for the hot water and also rent for the use of the away dressing rooms too?

Jeez, don't give ME any ideas!

If this is true I find it incredibly tinpot and an excellent example of how the club all of us over the age of 30 or so grew up with is now dead and replaced by a zombie.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Back in the day I had a 50p meter and the fecker ran out just as Benn v Eubank was starting!

I had to sprint round the shop to get some 50p's

Personally I don’t like this sort of thing, would rather the club rose above all this sort of rubbish in the spirit of fair play - otherwise a race to the bottom

This is the too nice mentality.

In my opinion we need a greater nasty side.

We are Ipswich, we should let our football do the talking and afford our guests the hospitality and facilities we would expect.

Mr John would be turning in his grave.

Bad show from ITFC.

John Cobbold would be 'turning in his grave' because we have taken a plug socket out the away dressing room.

Do me a favour.

All a bit snowflakey this nicey nice approach.

Then you have no understanding of the word 'class'.

Or snowflake for that matter, so you can add those to your list.

Have you ran a club of your own at some point by any chance?

If this story is true, I don't much care for it.

Play hard on the pitch, get the crowd loud - that's the sort of stuff that intimidates the opposition, not this silly cod psychology. Why not take it a step further and refuse to let the opposition physio use the toilet - make him p1ss in a wok.

It's the sort of nonsense that Pardew/ Westley/ that actual nutjob who used to own Billericay would perpetuate - who on earth wants to be associated with that?

I don't think you realise how common these things are.

These sort of 'tricks of the trade' are highly common in most away venues.

Absolutely.

If anything being opposed to this nonsense is the opposite of 'snowflakery'.

Trivial, petty acts like that are cowardly, cheap and altogether a bit pathetic.

And not in the spirit of the game at all.

The most tragic thing about all of this is that the footballers will now have a power bank and a battery powered speaker. We are not in the 90s anymore. It is all very odd, why would a footballer carry a mains power stereo system and a plug in charger in this day and age.

It's not about being nice, it's about rising above these petty games.

Do you think the best teams in the world in the best stadiums paint dressing rooms black, and run the showers cold and all that - it is a poxy lower league thing from the likes of Aidy Boothroyd, the Crazy Gang at Wimbledon or John Beck.

It's about people respecting Ipswich as a club, that's more important to me personally.

These sort of things are incredibly common, dark arts have been common in away dressing rooms for years and years. Liverpool, Palace, Man Utd, Wolfsburg, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, Burnley have all been reported in recent years to have been up the mischief.

Lets remember, we have taken a plug socket out of the wall.
